We Are Battle Ready Against Greece-D’ Tigress

After becoming the first African country to win two games at FIBA Women World Cup, and progress to next the stage at the ongoing FIBA women Tourney in Spain, D’Tigress of Nigeria has vowed to leave no stone unturned to ensure victory in today’s game against Greece.
The tournament, which features 16 countries, ends on September 30. Africa’s other representatives are Senegal.
The D’Tigress lost their first game against Australia but came out strongly to defeated Turkey and Argentina to qualify from the group stage.
D’Tigress dumped Argentina 75 points to 70 on Tuesday night to progress to the next round where they face Greece on today for the battle of the quarter-final ticket.
Speaking on their readiness, the elated D’Tigress captain Adaora Elonu said the team is excited to make it to next round of the game.
“We are excited to make it to the group stage, we have made history if you look at the game we started very low, but as the time goes on we put our energy and we got the victory Argentina are very aggressive
“Even though we struggle everything went on in our favour, and for the game ahead of us, we are battle ready, we are going to put more energy to win the game in order to qualify for quarterfinal and by the God’s grace.”
As for another D’Tigress player, Promise Amukamara she expressed: “the team will not let Nigerian down, we know the importance of the game against Greece, we want to remain in the competition and that is why we are going to approach the game well for us to win.”
Meanwhile, the president President, Muhammadu Buhari has sent a congratulatory message to the senior basketball women national team for beating Argentina at the ongoing 2018 FIBA Women World Cup in Tenerife, Spain, thereby charged the team to be the focus and make Nigerian proud.
Buhari said he is proud of the D’Tigress performance and charges them to remain focus in their subsequent games at the world cup
