2013 AFCON Winner Applauds RSFL’s Investment in Grassroots development, Drums Support for Super 4 Final
2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner, Juwon Oshaniwa, has praised the organization of the Rising Stars Football League (RSFL), commending its efforts to promote youth development and community engagement through football. Oshaniwa described the league as a vital investment in young talent, with the potential to significantly impact community growth.
“The RSFL is doing an incredible job by providing a platform for young talents to showcase their abilities. It’s not just about football; it’s about giving back to the community and creating opportunities for the youth to thrive,” Oshaniwa said. “This initiative is a real drive for positive change.”
Oshaniwa has also called on residents in and around Abuja to come out in numbers to witness the highly anticipated Super 4 Final on September 27, between Future Guaranteed FA and New Dawn FC, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
“I urge everyone in Abuja and beyond to come out and support these young stars. It’s going to be an exciting game, and the atmosphere will be electric,” he added.
The stakes are high, as the winners will walk away with a grand prize of 11 million naira, further underscoring the league’s commitment to rewarding excellence and fostering growth in Nigerian football.
The RSFL final promises to be a captivating event, offering a glimpse into the future of Nigerian football while celebrating the potential of youth across the country.

NVBF seeks continuous partnership with Abia Govt after successful 2025 Nat Div 1 & 2

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) have expressed profound appreciation to the Government and people of Abia State for their outstanding support and collaboration during the successful hosting of the final phase of the 2025 National Division 1 and 2 Volleyball Leagues.
In a statement signed by Engineer Musa Nimrod, NVBF President, the federation commended Abia State for its warm hospitality and commitment to the development of sports, particularly volleyball.
Nimrod explained that the successful event was a result of the strong partnership between the federation and the state government.
He said, “The Board of Administration of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, on behalf of the entire volleyball community in the country, wishes to express profound gratitude to the Government and people of Abia State for their noble collaboration in organizing the final phase of Division 1 and 2.”
He further highlighted that Abia State is gradually becoming a hub for volleyball in Nigeria.
Nimrod attributed the growth of volleyball to the government’s investment in youth and sports development.
He emphasised the NVBF desire to sustain and strengthen this partnership to further promote volleyball and empower young athletes across the nation.
“The federation remains grateful and looks forward to a more robust and progressive partnership with the Abia State Government in the future.”
