2023: Coalition Endorses Atiku For President
From Our Correspondent
National coalition of progressive democratic groups working towards the restoration of democratic ideals and good governance in Nigeria, Nigeria Democratic Vanguard, NDV, has endorsed the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The coalition came up with the resolution at its conference on Sunday in Enugu.
In a communique signed by its National Coordinator, Dr John Chukwuemeka, the coalition said after considering the critical nature and importance of the 2023 elections toward redirecting Nigeria to its proud position of the giant of Africa and torch-bearer on issues of Africa’s sustainable development, having appraised all the presidential candidates, it came to the conclusion that Atiku possessed all the qualities to redirect Nigeria back to greatness.
“We considered all presidential aspirants and arrived at Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, having sustained democratic ideals that is enviable coupled with his international network of tested and trusted development superpowers which Nigeria needs to escape from the present disturbing economic statistics that has made us the poverty capital.
“Nigerian Democratic Vanguard appeals to Nigerians to consider per capital income during the last administration and the cost of living now to justify the need to bring Atiku to power to establish democratic order, restore hope and dignity of our dear nation. Atiku/Okowa remains the answer,” the coalition said.
The communique appealed to Nigerians to prevail on the G5 governors led by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State to lay down their sword and make the progress of the country their top priority, and key into Atiku’s covenant with Nigerians.
