3 Days to Go: Senegalese Legend Khalilou Fadiga, Music Star Odumodublvck Set for 2025 Champions Cup Showdown in Abuja

The countdown is on! With just three days to go, excitement is reaching fever pitch ahead of the Champions Cup, scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2025, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Fans are in for a thrilling experience as Senegalese midfield legend, Khalilou Fadiga, and Nigerian music sensation Odumodublvck have both confirmed their readiness to take part in the much-anticipated fixture between Barca Legends and African Legends.
The duo will be part of an array of sporting and entertainment stars converging in Abuja for a one-of-a-kind football spectacle celebrating talent, unity, and African excellence.
Khalilou Fadiga, renowned for his dazzling performances with the Senegalese national team and clubs such as Inter Milan and Bolton Wanderers, expressed excitement about returning to Nigeria for the event.
He earned 37 caps for the Senegal national team. He was part of the Senegal team that defeated reigning champions France in the opening fixture of the 2002 World Cup and made it to the quarter-finals. He was also part of the team that finished runner-up in the 2002 African Cup of Nations.
In his trademark confident style, music star, Odumodublvck also declared his enthusiasm to hit the turf, promising fans an unforgettable experience both on and off the pitch.
The Champions Cup has continued to generate widespread excitement across the continent, blending sports, entertainment, and celebrity participation in an atmosphere of fun and competition. Organizers have assured fans of a top-tier experience, with live performances, fan interactions, and a vibrant showcase of African creativity alongside the football action.
The Moshood Abiola National Stadium is expected to come alive as fans, celebrities, and football lovers from across the country gather to witness this celebration of sport and entertainment.
The Barça Legends squad features global greats Ronaldinho, Ludovic Giuly, Javier Saviola, Jesús Angoy, Samuel Okunowo, Marc Valiente, and Fernando Navarro. They will go head-to-head against the African Legends, led by Jay-Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Alex Song, Mark Fish, and other revered figures of African football.
Beyond the match, the event offers fans a total experience, from a ‘Legends Meet & Greet’ to an exclusive gala dinner, where supporters and guests will have the rare opportunity to engage directly with football’s finest in an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie. Proceeds from the day will directly support initiatives focused on the girl child across Africa.

Tangerine APT Pension Crowned New Kings of PFA Games 2025

Joel Ajayi Tangerine APT Pension stormed the 2025 Pension Fund Administrators Games and snatched the crown with a commanding 66 points—ending FCMB’s reign and announcing themselves as the new champions of corporate sporting excellence.
From the first whistle to the final scoreboard, Tangerine APT played like an organisation possessed. They dominated volleyball and snooker, showcased brilliant tactical depth to finish second in chess behind Norrenberger, secured second place in team bonding behind Premium Pension, and held their own across the board—fourth in football, sixth in table tennis, fifth in scrabble, and eighth in e-sports, press conference, discipline and grooming. Every point mattered, and Tangerine APT grabbed them with fire.
Defending champions FCMB, despite flashes of brilliance, simply could not summon last year’s magic.
They finished second overall with 63 points—just three points behind the new champions. FCMB were first in scrabble, second in football, third in table tennis and e-sports, fourth in snooker and team bonding, and fifth in volleyball, chess, and press conference/discipline/grooming. A brave defence, but not enough to stop the Tangerine wave.
Rounding off the podium is NPF Pension, finishing third with 57 points after a spirited campaign. They claimed gold in football, second in table tennis and e-sports, third in volleyball, fourth in scrabble, sixth in press conference/discipline/fanfare/most coordinated, seventh in chess, and eighth in snooker and team bonding.
The rest of the table saw fierce competition:4th – Norrenberger Pension: 52 points, 5th – Premium Pension: 47 points, 6th – NNPC Pension: 45 points, 7th – Access Arm: 41 points
In Others position 8th – Trustfund Pension: 29 points 9th – PENCOM: 28 points and 10th – NUPEMCO: 25 points.
With the dust settled and the cheers still echoing, one truth stands tall:Tangerine APT Pension has ushered in a new era—bold, dominant, and unforgettable.
