42 Schools To Rumbles In NBA Power Forward Basketball Clinic In Abuja

Not fewer than 42 Abuja based Secondary schools on Wednesday participated in the nineth edition of NBA Power Forward Basketball Clinic held at the Package B of Moshood Abiola Stadium.
Gbemisola Abudu, Vice President and Country head of NBA in Nigeria who spoke with BSN Sports said the objective of the program is to spread the game of basketball among Nigeria youth across the country.
“The objective is to expand basketball to other part of the country but in addition to that, part of our youth development strategy in Nigeria is to make sure that we have different programs available for young children from the age of elementary primary school all through to elite development stage.” Gbemisola told journalists.
“For us, we know that not everyone will become a basketball player but the life skills that the game instill in them, like communication skill, team coordination skill are useful in the world economic future. These are skills they need to become successful.
“We are looking forward to collaborating with the NBBF to create a national basketball league where young boys and girls can participate. The program in its nineth year and has touched over two hundred thousand students in Abuja.
“For this finals going on now, we have 42 schools participating in the program. The program is to identify young kid who has the talents to succeed as basketball player. ” She concluded.

The gathering that shows the importance of love, peace, and unity values which is crucial not just for the advancement of basketball, but for the overall progress of the nation.
However, the Sallah is a time to reflect on our shared humanity,” he said. “It’s a moment to support one another and to uphold the values that bring us together, rather than divide us.”
Guests at the event shared stories, enjoyed meals, Asun Rice, Oriental rice, Jollof Rice, Swallow in variety with a lot of drinks that mede them to engaged in meaningful discussions on the development of sports in Nigeria, with a special focus on grassroots basketball.
Many attendees praised Solademi for his unwavering support for the sporting community and his ongoing commitment to using sports as a powerful tool for youth empowerment and social transformation.
