People of Ira in Oyun Local Government of Kwara State were on Saturday, May 9, in joyous momentum when their son Bashir Badawiy paid them a visit with Ramadan gifts and cash.
Bashir Bashir and his lovely wife Damilola who was also accompanied by his elder brother Kunle Jida together stormed Ira in the afternoon at around 2pm in which people of the town were happy to see them.
Known for his generosity, Bashir Badawiy was happy with the love his community people shown to him on his arrival and he stepped out of his car and started sharing Ramadan gifts.
Some of the items shared to his people in Ira are cartoons of milk, bags of rice, semovita and cash in which people prayed for him that God in His Infinite Mercy will continue to bless Badawiy for remembering them in this tough period.
And after settling his people, Bashir Badawiy and his entourage walked in to the palace of the Onira of Ira land, His Royal Highness Oba Abdul-Wahab Oyewale Oyetoro who was so glad and had to stand up from his throne to welcome the Kwara United GM.
Oba Abdul-Wahab Oyewale Oyetoro described Bashir Badawiy as a blessing to the community of Ira considering what he has done in which the Monarch is proud of.
“Bashir is my good son and as you can see, the people here in Ira loves him so much because of his kindness.
“There has never been a day that we call Bashir and he won’t answer and I always pray for him everyday for God to bless him more than this because we all know what he can do,” Oba Oyetoro explained.
The Monarch while rounding up his message begged the Kwara State Government not to forget the promise they made 8 years ago by immortalising late Super Eagles striker Rashidi Yekini.

CSO Salutes Trump
A Civil Society Organization (CSO) under the aegis of Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC) has congratulated President Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America.
Chief Ugochukwu Nnam, President of the CSO said this in an interview with the Newsmen in Abuja on Monday.
He expressed optimism over improvement on not just American economy but global economy with the inauguration of Trump.
“This is a man with greater vision of making environment around him great.
“In less than few hours of his inauguration, TikTok is back into existence, this shows how he is going to revive the world economy,” he said.
The ILDC boss who reiterated his confidence in Trump’s Presidency, described him as a man of clues and ideas to drive a stable America and the world at large.
He lauded Trump’s collaboration with global entrepreneurs like Elon Musk in an effort to revitalize America’s economy.
According to him, men and women of ideas flock together, they work together for better society and this is what Trump is doing.
Recall that Donald Trump became the 47th President of the U.S by polling 312 electoral votes Vice President Kamala Harris’ 226 votes in Nov, 2024.
Following the oath of office, Trump will address the nation before he is expected to parade across town to the White House and attend three inaugural balls in the evening
About 200,000 supporters are expected to visit the city to mark the presidential transfer of power.
