Just In: Sports, Minster Dare Handover MKO Stadium Renovation To Contractor

Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare on Wednesday handed over the renovation of the Mashood Abiola MKO National Stadium to the contractor for Re-grassing of the football pitch and fixing of the scoreboard.

It will be recalled that Mr. Sunday Dare in November 2019 broke the news that Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote is set to renovate the Main Bowl of the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

The renovation includes the football pitch, light, and scoreboard at the stadium.

The 60,000 capacity stadium was built in 2003 during former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration and over the years, the national edifice began to waste away will come back to life.
