Nigeria Can Produce Athletes Better Than Usain Bolt If….Rosa Collins

The Second Vice President of Athletic Federation of Nigeria, Rosa Collins, has revealed that if there is unity among those who find themselves in the corridor of sports, Nigeria can produce Athletes that are better than Usain Bolt.
The former triple jump Athlete stated this on Monday in Abuja, shortly after she was elected as 2nd Vice President of AFN. She said that, if all hands are on deck, the Country will provide Athletes better than Jamaica sprinter, Usain Bolt.
According to her, I believe if we all work together, we will make it, we are not going to put sentiment of one person is from this regions or not; if we all come together, definitely we are going to challenge America in Athletics, we have good athletes here, we have “Usain Bolt” among us and I believe that if we work together, we will produce more and more Usain Bolt in this country.
Speaking on the Olympics, Collins expressed; “Yes we have a very high spirit of performance, we believe that we will make it and we will come home with some medals.
“The Board that led before was like a disaster, I was also part of that Board, I wasn’t carried along and our ideas was pushed apart, if I have an idea and you don’t bring me close to you, I will never share my ideas because my ideas means a lot to this Federation as a former athlete, not ordinary athlete; a former triple jump athlete,.
“All board members will be carried along, so whatever idea you have, bring it, we are going to support the new President.” She said.

AACT 2026: 31 Days to Africa’s Big Sporting Gathering in Abuja

The countdown to the 2026 All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT) has officially entered the final month, with just 31 days to go before Africa’s leading women’s team golf championship tees off at the IBB International Golf & Country Club in Abuja.
In a statement signed by the AACT 2026Director of Communication Kayode Adeniyi on Friday in Abuja.
Under the theme “Africa Is Coming to Abuja,” the countdown campaign will spotlight the championship, the participating nations, the players, the host venue and the growing development of women’s golf across the continent.
The 2026 AACT, scheduled for November 2–7, will bring together women’s golfing talent from across Africa for six days of continental competition in Nigeria’s capital.
As preparations continue at the IBB International Golf & Country Club, attention is increasingly turning to Abuja, where the championship will provide a platform for African golfers to compete while also showcasing Nigeria’s hospitality and the country’s growing profile as a destination for major sporting events.
The countdown will feature daily stories, interviews, player and country profiles, tournament facts, behind-the-scenes updates and features on the host venue as the championship draws closer.
The campaign will also highlight the role of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN), the Local Organising Committee and other stakeholders in preparing for the continental championship.
With just 31 days remaining, anticipation is building across the African golfing community as Abuja prepares to welcome the continent’s leading women golfers.
Africa is coming to Abuja.
