Members of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria FCT Chapter under the able leadership of Bunmi Haruna, friends, colleagues amongst others on Friday offered quantum of prayer for the of the moderately achievers, benevolent, a selfless man with fear of God, Mr. Femi Johnson, the current Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Sports General Manager and the Veteran Journalist Mr. Lucky Obewo-Isawode as they celebrates another year in the land of the living.

People have been congratulating the two Veterans on their birthday celebration in various platforms of the social media since early hours of Friday (Today) as they add another year.
In their different post, Friends, Colleagues prayed for good health, prosperity and more riches from the giver of life (GOD) for the celebrants.
The Former SG SWAN National Mr. Richard Jideaka uttered “Happy birthday to the one we call Chipolopolo 1, I wish long life in good health, happiness and wealth. Congratulations.” “Happy birthday and best wishes to a wonderful and very lucky man. FCT SWAN members are proud of you. Congratulations.”
As for FCT SWAN Chairman Emeritus Mr Kayode Adeniyi he wrote “Happy birthday Lucky”
In his birthday wishes to celebrants, the FCT SWAN Chairman Bunmi Haruna say “Happy Birthday to you sirs. Wishing you a beautiful celebration.” “Happy Birthday to you sir. We wish you long life lived in good health.”

As for Mazi without Kingdom, the Best Choice Sports CEO Ameachi Mazi Agbo, “To all the celebrants today, more years to your lives and success along. Cheers.”

On her own, the FCT SWAN Assistant Secretary Remi Sulola said: “Let’s celebrate with one of our own as he becomes a year older today. Happy birthday to you, sir.”
Brand new FCT SWAN Treasurer Pretty Uche Nwodoh added her voice joining the well-wishers across the world, to the celebrants “Wishing you the happiest of birthdays ever. May lord offer you all the good things as you deserve.”

NVBF seeks continuous partnership with Abia Govt after successful 2025 Nat Div 1 & 2

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) have expressed profound appreciation to the Government and people of Abia State for their outstanding support and collaboration during the successful hosting of the final phase of the 2025 National Division 1 and 2 Volleyball Leagues.
In a statement signed by Engineer Musa Nimrod, NVBF President, the federation commended Abia State for its warm hospitality and commitment to the development of sports, particularly volleyball.
Nimrod explained that the successful event was a result of the strong partnership between the federation and the state government.
He said, “The Board of Administration of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, on behalf of the entire volleyball community in the country, wishes to express profound gratitude to the Government and people of Abia State for their noble collaboration in organizing the final phase of Division 1 and 2.”
He further highlighted that Abia State is gradually becoming a hub for volleyball in Nigeria.
Nimrod attributed the growth of volleyball to the government’s investment in youth and sports development.
He emphasised the NVBF desire to sustain and strengthen this partnership to further promote volleyball and empower young athletes across the nation.
“The federation remains grateful and looks forward to a more robust and progressive partnership with the Abia State Government in the future.”
