NVBF Announce Final 12-Man List For The U19 World Cup

The head coach of Nigeria U-19 Boys team, Sani Mohammed has announced the volleyball final 12-man list for the 2021 FIVB U19 Boys World Championship.

The 2021 FIVB U19 Boys World Championship will take place in Iran from 24th August to 4th September 2021.

The Ex international said the team will be captained by Kano Pillars player, Michael Abari and assisted by Nasa Thunder VC player, Jerry Kinze.

Regulars like OFFA VC’s Abdulquadri Jaiyeola, COAS Spikers’ Vincent Mathias and NSCDC’s Ozokoye Pascal are on the list of players to feature in Iran.

Mohammed revealed that the team aims to surpass

He said, “The boys are ready to make Nigeria proud at the FIVB World Championship. At the last World Championship, Nigeria finished 14th position which is encouraging. This time around, we want to better our performance.

“It is our prayer that the boys have an injury free tournament, play well and eventually get clubs to sign them after the championship.

The Nigeria U19 players played against Kaduna selected and Abuja selected in their final friendly before the World Championship.

The players will depart Nigeria on Thursday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja

Nigeria is grouped with Iran, Poland and Guatemala for the World Cup that starts on August 24th.

The U19 man list include, Jerry Kinze (Nasa Thunder VC), Vincent Mathias (COAS Spikers), Abdulquadri Jaiyeola (OFFA VC), Quadri Ogunboyejo (Legacy), Oyewole Oyedepo (OFFA VC), Timothy Ogwulumba (Sunshine Spikers), Paul Ogwulumba (Sunshine Spikers), Farouk Lucky (Kano Pillars), Michael Abari (Kano Pillars), Michael Digil (Kada Emeralds), Mathias Peter (Kada Emeralds) and Ozokoye Pascal (Plateau Rocks)

From Streets to Stardom: Unique Futbol Academy Scouting Program Inspires Ibadan’s Young Footballers

Ibadan is buzzing with excitement as the Unique Football Academy Scouting Program kicks off, bringing together top European football clubs and talented young Nigerian players.

The four-day program, which commenced on Monday, features a delegation of four directors from prominent European teams, including two from Kosovo and one from India, led by renowned football agent Diego Martins from Portugal.


The scouting program aims to identify and select outstanding players who will be given opportunities to showcase their skills in Europe.

Successful players will be offered the chance to take their careers to the next level, with the organizers assuring them of opportunities abroad.


According to the Director of the program and founder of Unique Football Academy, Mr. Jelil Oladimeji, this is not the first time the academy has organized such an event.

“This is the 4th edition, and we are proud of the progress and impact we have made so far in terms of exposing our raw talent to the European market,” he said.


The program has already proven successful, with several players from previous editions going on to excel in European leagues. Some notable examples include Haruna Saleh with PAOK in Greece and Praisegod Emersons in Slovakia. 


As the program continues, clubs are gearing up to exhibit their talents, and the future looks bright for Nigeria’s young football stars.
