…Commends Minister for growth of Sports in Nigeria

With few weeks to the September’s sports federation elections in Nigeria, a group of sports enthusiasts, journalists and stakeholders, under the auspices of Friends of Nigeria Sports (FSN), have thrown their weight and declare support to the re-election of the present NBBF Caretaker Committee Chairman, Engr. Musa Kida, the Caretaker Chairman Of Wrestling Daniel Igali, The Caretaker Committee Chairman Of Nigeria Volleyball Federation NBVF Engr. Musa Nimrod.

The group said that these administrators have committed their resources and their energy to the growth of their federations thereby deserve another term for sport to thrive more in the country.

In a release signed by the spokesperson of the group Asiwaju Akeem Busari on Monday stated that for a sustainable development and growth in Nigeria sports, there should consistency and continuity of developmental programmes and delivery.

According to release, these administrators have been expending their personal funds and resources to the growth of Nigerian sports. And it is not for nothing that we’re experiencing successes.


“The development and growth witnessed in their various federations are testimony to their class, experience and commitment for sports development.”

While enjoining stakeholders to support and ensure the administrators are returned for the benefits of Nigerian sports, the group went on to commend Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, for his passion, patriotism and leadership qualities that has continued to impact positively on Nigerian sports.

Airwarrior Basketball Club Chairman, Celebrates Sallah with Journalists in Abuja

The event, filled with camaraderie and appreciation, provided an opportunity for Alhaji Solademi to acknowledge the vital role of the media in national development and the promotion of sports in Nigeria.


In a warm gesture of unity, oneness, togetherness and goodwill, the Chairman of Air Warriors Basketball Club, Abuja, Alhaji Abddulmajid  Solademi, hosted a group of Basketball Journalists on Saturday at his residence in celebration of the Sallah festivities in Abuja.


The gathering that shows the  importance of love, peace, and unity values which is crucial not just for the advancement of basketball, but for the overall progress of the nation.


However, the Sallah is a time to reflect on our shared humanity,” he said. “It’s a moment to support one another and to uphold the values that bring us together, rather than divide us.”


Guests at the event shared stories, enjoyed meals, Asun Rice, Oriental rice,  Jollof Rice, Swallow in variety with a lot of drinks that mede them to  engaged in meaningful discussions on the development of sports in Nigeria, with a special focus on grassroots basketball.


Many attendees praised Solademi for his unwavering support for the sporting community and his ongoing commitment to using sports as a powerful tool for youth empowerment and social transformation.
