Unity Preseason Tournament : Nigerian Coaches Boss Drums Support

The President of Nigerian Football Coaches Association (NFCA) Isah Ladan Bosso has supported the initiative of organizing the Unity Preseason Tournament (Unity Cup) in the Federal Capital Territory.
Bosso, who is the Head coach of the National U. 20 Male team (Flying Eagles) said the idea is well conceived and should be embraced by all invited clubs especially those in the North Central zone.
Quoting his words, the Coaches Boss said “the concept is a welcomed development which must be embraced by every club in the North Central zone to among other things assess their new acquisitions, prepare adequately, interact and share ideas with officials of other teams. I wholeheartedly support the concept and we would be ready to make the program a success ” he concluded in a message to the organizers.
The Unity Preseason Tournament will hold in Abuja from 30th October to 5th November. According to the Chairman of the Organizing committee Patrick Ngwaogu (Odogwu Ndi Abia) about 10 teams in the North Central are expected to take part in the tournament.
The teams will include Kwara United, Plateau United, Nasarawa United, Lobi Stars, and Niger Tornadoes. Other NNL clubs like EFCC FC, NAF FC, Kogi United have all signified interest to be part of the tournament.

The event, filled with camaraderie and appreciation, provided an opportunity for Alhaji Solademi to acknowledge the vital role of the media in national development and the promotion of sports in Nigeria.
In a warm gesture of unity, oneness, togetherness and goodwill, the Chairman of Air Warriors Basketball Club, Abuja, Alhaji Abddulmajid Solademi, hosted a group of Basketball Journalists on Saturday at his residence in celebration of the Sallah festivities in Abuja.
The gathering that shows the importance of love, peace, and unity values which is crucial not just for the advancement of basketball, but for the overall progress of the nation.
However, the Sallah is a time to reflect on our shared humanity,” he said. “It’s a moment to support one another and to uphold the values that bring us together, rather than divide us.”
Guests at the event shared stories, enjoyed meals, Asun Rice, Oriental rice, Jollof Rice, Swallow in variety with a lot of drinks that mede them to engaged in meaningful discussions on the development of sports in Nigeria, with a special focus on grassroots basketball.
Many attendees praised Solademi for his unwavering support for the sporting community and his ongoing commitment to using sports as a powerful tool for youth empowerment and social transformation.
