Onuche Ogbelu Presents WAFU Zone B Gold Medal To Fosla Academy Proprietor, Sani Lulu

Flying Eagles ‘School Boy’, Onuche Ogbelu at the just concluded WAFU Zone B U-20 African Qualifiers held in Niamey, Niger Republic on Thursday presented his gold medal and jersey to the Proprietor of his school Fosla Academy, Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi.

Onuche who was described as a ‘game changer’ by the Head Coach of the U. 20, Ladan Bosso is an SS3 Student of the Fosla Academy. He has since returned to school to join his mates for the on going Senior Secondary School Examinations.

Receiving the medal and jersey, the Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi congratulated the player for doing the country proud, and positively projecting the school in the tournament. He expressed his happiness on the performance of the player in tournament, and promised to support him in ensuring that his career blossom in the nearest future. He encourage him to remain steadfast and discipline in his quest to attain greatness.

Onuche Ogbelu thanked Alhaji Lulu, describing him as a father of exceptional quality that takes pride in seeing to the success of his children. He promised to bring smiles to the faces of the Fosla Family.

Onuche is an integral member of Fosla FC participating in the NLO Division 1 League. He is also the captain of Fosla Academy team.

NVBF President, Engr Nimrod Urges Families to Embrace Healthy Living at HOBA Novelty Sports

President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod, has called on Nigerian families to adopt healthy living habits through regular participation in sporting and fitness activities.

Nimrod made the call on Sunday during the third edition of the Hoba Development Association, Abuja Chapter, novelty sports event held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

He noted that physical activities such as sports are vital to fostering family bonds, community interaction, and overall well-being.

“The rate of health-related incidents such as slumping is increasing, but regular exercise helps improve the health of both parents and children,” he said. “Events like this bring families together, allowing parents and children to interact and know each other better.”

Also speaking, the stand-in Chairman of the Hoba Community, Barrister Nathan Naandeti, highlighted the significance of the annual novelty games, describing them as a unifying platform for members of the community.

“It’s something we do every year to promote unity, togetherness, and fitness among our people. Sports is part of who we are,” he stated.

Men, women, and children from the Hoba community participated in various sporting activities, including volleyball, badminton, football, and aerobics—all aimed at encouraging relaxation, fitness, and bonding among families.
