TIG Club visits British Embassy, pay tributes to late Queen Elizabeth II
The Tony Asuquo Gymnastics Club TIG, on Friday, has visited Nigeria British Embassy in the Federal Capital Territory, in Abuja, to add their voice to the rest of the world to pay a tribute in honour of her imperial majesty, late Queen Elizabeth II.
The team, comprised of young Gymnasts, in their numbers visited the embassy to pay homage to the late British monarch.
It would be recalled, Queen Elizabeth was pronounced dead last week Thursday, at the age of 96, after 7 decades of reign and the longest serving monarch in Britain.
The team led by the founder of the TIG club, Anthony Asuquo was the latest to add their voices to the eulogies for the queen.
“We are grateful to God Almighty for TIG, I signed and wrote my condolence massages to the late British queen alongside, Peter Obi, the Emir of Kano Sanusi , Boss Mustafa, the Presidency, and over 40 ambassadors.
“We are here to offer condolences to the people of UK, may the soul of our lovely queen rest In peace.”

World Athletics, AFN Set for Press Conference Ahead of Abuja City International Half Marathon

With only 10 days remaining before the commencement of the PremiumTrust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon, the organising committee has confirmed that the World Press Conference for the marathon will hold on friday, 5th December, where officials from World Athletics, the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), event partners, and other distinguished dignitaries are expected to be in attendance.
It was stated that the briefing will highlight final race arrangements, athlete participation, technical details, safety measures, and other relevant information for the international and local sporting communities.
The organisers also announced that media accreditation has officially opened, encouraging journalists, photographers, broadcasters, and digital media practitioners to apply through the designated online link:

They emphasised that early accreditation would ensure seamless processing ahead of the event.
The PremiumTrust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon is projected to attract top-tier competitors and deliver a world-class road-running spectacle, reinforcing Abuja’s growing reputation as a hub for major international sporting events.
