Post Enumeration Survey Panacea to Reliable Population Census-NPC

The National Population Commission (NPC) on Monday said that Post Enumeration Survey (PES) is no doubt a panacea to accurate and reliable 2023 House and population census.

NPC Executive Chairman, Hon. Nasir Isa  Kwarra,  said this at a news conference on the imperatives of Post Enumeration Survey (PES) for credible census in Abuja.
He stated that, the Post Enumeration Survey (PES) is aimed at achieving accuracy and assurance in the census.


According to him, Post Enumeration Survey is an exercise meant to assess the over-Enumeration or under-Enumeration.
“The the essence of the PES is to evaluate the errors made in during the Enumeration of trial Census for an accurate, reliable and acceptable census.

Kwarra who reiterated the commitment of the commission to credible census, said that the PES would guarantee it.

He affirmed the determination of the commission to provide credible data required for national planning through delivery of quality census.


However, Hon. Kwarra assured of the readiness of the commission to deliver a credible census.


It will entail the recounting of persons and houses for confirmation and accuracy as well as dismantling of errors made previously.

Hon. Jabiru Abdullahi Encourages Nigerians to Embrace Eid Values of Sacrifice and Unity

The National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, has extended warm Sallah greetings to Muslims across the country as they celebrate Sallah


In a statement issued on Thursday by Ogwa Vivian Onyedibia, Senior Assistant on Media to the AUDA-NEPAD CEO, Hon. Abdullahi urged Nigerians to embrace the core values of sacrifice, unity, and compassion that define the season.


He emphasized that these principles are essential not only to the spiritual significance of the celebration but also to national development and peaceful coexistence.


“Eid is a time for reflection, sacrifice, and togetherness. As we celebrate, let us renew our commitment to building a more united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria,” he said.

Hon. Abdullahi expressed hope that the celebration would inspire a collective spirit among Nigerians and strengthen the bonds of love, empathy, and patriotism across communities.


He wished all Muslim faithful a joyous and fulfilling celebration, praying for continued peace and blessings upon the nation.
