The Nigeria Volleyball Federation NVBF has called on all the volleyball player not to sell themselves cheap by going to lower grade club but rather improve on their games to have a better deal in Europe

President of NVBF Engr.Musa Nimrod gave this warning at the opening ceremony of 2nd phase of National Beach Volleyball tour in Federal Capital Territory, where over 17 clubs Male and female categories are competing.

He expressed that players should not be allowed to be lured to a lower country in the name of playing professional Volleyball Abroad.

According to him, I am appealing to players not to go for any lower grade club in any country.

“I don’t want what happened in football, where many players are just going out of the country to a lower league and after a few months they were messed up.

“I don’t want such a scenario to happen to Volleyball players. Don’t go to a lower club, get a good club that is recognized, go to Qatar, get clearance, listening to advice, don’t just rush to any lower country, don’t involve in another slavery. Don’t go out without getting clearance.”

He however, expressed that the Federation is committed to bring more growth and development to the game of Volleyball in the country.

“We did the first tour in Yola, now the second tour in Abuja and the third tour will come up in Lagos before the end of the year.

“We must continue to keep them busy with competition so that they will be well fit for any international tournament and especially qualifiers.

“The present members of NVBF are doing their best, they are contributing to this event and are hundred percent sponsored by NVBF.”
