Youth Converts Foundation Partners With Afrigrants Foundation With Support From Meta To Bring The Third Edition Of Danish Football Development Initiative (DFDI) On 24th-25th November 2022 in Nigeria

Youth Converts Foundation is a Nigerian based Non-Governmental Organization that is dedicated to using the power of sport for social development. Through DFDI, it is leveraging the love of soccer to build the capacity of the Nigerian youth.

In its third edition, DFDI will use its platform of sport development to build the leadership capacities of young women in Nigeria. The rationale for this edition is to Increase the knowledge of young women to become ambassadors for change in their environment.

Since Youth Converts creation in 2006, it has fully embraced sport initiatives as a critical part of achieving Sustainable Development. Through the DFDI platform, Youth Converts Partners with Danish coaches to incorporate teamwork, fair play, respect of the rules and others, cooperation, discipline, and tolerance into the lives of young women. These key values will build the capacity of young women to enhance social unity and equip them with skills for a professional life.

Partners for this edition of DFDI include Afrigrants Foundation, Meta, and Paul E. Football Club.

The event is open to the public.

President Tinubu Decries Violence In Rivers, Directs Police To Provide Security To LGA Offices

President Bola Tinubu has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara, political leaders and their supporters in Rivers State to exercise restraint and uphold the rule of law.

In response to recent tensions following last Saturday’s local government council election, the President expressed deep concern over reports of arson and explosions in the state.

He urged all political actors to de-escalate the situation and discourage their supporters from engaging in violence or destructive actions.

President Tinubu directed the police to restore and maintain peace, law, and order immediately.

While instructing law enforcement agencies to bring the situation under control, he emphasised the need to ensure the security of public institutions.

President Tinubu said government facilities built with public funds must be safeguarded from vandalism.

He stressed that self-help has no place in a democratic system, especially after 25 years of continuous democracy.

According to President Tinubu, the judiciary can settle all political disputes, and the outcome of this election should be no exception.
