Parents, Applauds TIG’s Gymnastics 13 years Developmental thrives

Parents, Guardians and children in their numbers have applauded the Tony Asuquo Gymnastics TIG developmental initiative that is bringing growth and development to the Games in the country and the world.
Many of them who spoke with THE GLEAMER NEWS on Saturday at the 13th edition of TIG Level System Championship in the FCT said that initiative has turned around the life of their children positively.
Over 100 children participated in a two days event that featured Sports Debate, Spelling Bee, Dance, Gymnastic and more.
Speaking at the event was the first lady of Taraba Hauwa Suntai, honestly I need to give kudos to this initiative, as a parent we are seeing the positive impact in the life of our children.
She however, advised the government at all levels to make every sports priority, sport makes children very healthy.
On his own, a father of promising gymnast Adeela Adedeji who won a medal at just concluded international tourney in South Africa Mr Abayomi Adedeji lauded team TIG for the good job on the children.
In his remark, the CEO of TIG coach Anthony Asuquo said TIG will not relent in making more children achieve their dream.
According to him, we had over 100 gymnasts from different schools.
“The growth of gymnastics, we have been able to train coaches from the street and they are now professional coaches, we take our time not to teach them only gymnastics but also coaching gymnastics.
“Most of our coaches are already out of the country like now, we have a coach who is now in Australia.
“We train gymnasts from grassroots to competitive level and also most of our gymnasts have represented the country and they are in the national team.”

In a warm gesture of unity, oneness, togetherness and goodwill, the Chairman of Air Warriors Basketball Club, Abuja, Alhaji Abddulmajid Solademi, hosted a group of Basketball Journalists on Saturday at his residence in celebration of the Sallah festivities in Abuja.
The gathering that shows the importance of love, peace, and unity values which is crucial not just for the advancement of basketball, but for the overall progress of the nation.
However, the Sallah is a time to reflect on our shared humanity,” he said. “It’s a moment to support one another and to uphold the values that bring us together, rather than divide us.”
Guests at the event shared stories, enjoyed meals, Asun Rice, Oriental rice, Jollof Rice, Swallow in variety with a lot of drinks that mede them to engaged in meaningful discussions on the development of sports in Nigeria, with a special focus on grassroots basketball.
Many attendees praised Solademi for his unwavering support for the sporting community and his ongoing commitment to using sports as a powerful tool for youth empowerment and social transformation.
