FCT FA boss, Mouktar commitment to football yielding results as FCT team cruise to final
The commitment and resilience of the FCT FA board led by Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed and his members looks to be yielding positive results following the recent feat achieved by its football team.
It will be noted that the FCT football team have secured the final berth of the 21st National Sports festival taking place in Delta State.
They piped Lagos by 2-1 at the ogwashi-ukwu stadium on Monday where they await their opponent in the final between Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom..
Mohammed speaking to the media said he was delighted by the feat achieved the players while showering encomium on the coaches,technical crew and the FCT Sports council Director Luka Istifanus for all his support to the FA and the players.
” I am particularly excited for them as they have worked so hard to be here in spite of the challenges they faced. The coaches, technical crew deserve some accolades. They were there to make sure everything goes smoothly at all costs. Thats the spirit.
“The Director of Sports FCT isn’t left out of this praise as he has worked tirelessly to make sure they and all other athletes are well taken care of despite the paucity of funds due to economic challenges faced in the country.
Recall,the FCT FA has been organizing tournaments for all age grade levels to ensure that football is in every household

The event, filled with camaraderie and appreciation, provided an opportunity for Alhaji Solademi to acknowledge the vital role of the media in national development and the promotion of sports in Nigeria.
In a warm gesture of unity, oneness, togetherness and goodwill, the Chairman of Air Warriors Basketball Club, Abuja, Alhaji Abddulmajid Solademi, hosted a group of Basketball Journalists on Saturday at his residence in celebration of the Sallah festivities in Abuja.
The gathering that shows the importance of love, peace, and unity values which is crucial not just for the advancement of basketball, but for the overall progress of the nation.
However, the Sallah is a time to reflect on our shared humanity,” he said. “It’s a moment to support one another and to uphold the values that bring us together, rather than divide us.”
Guests at the event shared stories, enjoyed meals, Asun Rice, Oriental rice, Jollof Rice, Swallow in variety with a lot of drinks that mede them to engaged in meaningful discussions on the development of sports in Nigeria, with a special focus on grassroots basketball.
Many attendees praised Solademi for his unwavering support for the sporting community and his ongoing commitment to using sports as a powerful tool for youth empowerment and social transformation.
