PRESIDENTIAL SPORTS FIESTA TO PRODUCE MORE KADUNA BORN FOOTBALL STARS FOR NIGERIA NATIONAL TEAMS – DANIEL AMOKACHI
Ex International and Special Assistant on Sports to Nigeria President Daniel Amokachi Lawal says the successful hosting of the Presidential Sports Fiesta Football Tournament in Kaduna is another tournament that will produce future stars for the National teams.
The Former Super Eagles attacker who himself was once discovered in Kaduna said the tournament was another avenue to showcase the football talents scattered across the state.
According to the man popularly known as the Bull ” some of us were discovered like this many years ago here in Kaduna and so I am particularly excited for this project .”
“Kaduna has produced several players for the Nigeria National teams and I am very confident that in the nearest future some of these young boys that featured in this tournament will be scattered across Europe and the National teams”,he added.
Six Grassroot football teams across the Crocodile State participated in the tournament organized by Daniel Amokachi alongside the Daniel Amokachi Foundation with support from the Office of the President, the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports , the Nigeria Football Federation and the Kaduna state Government.
The teams are Kaduna North , Kaduna South , Birnin Gwari, Chukum, Igabi and Team Zaria with Team Igabi emerging Champions.
The team defeated Kaduna North 2-0 in the final.
Participating teams have hailed the organisers of the event following the level of organisation where all the players were kitted with each team going up with One Hundred and Fifty Thousand aside free accomodation and feeding.
For emerging Champions Team Igabi got Two Hundred and fifty thousand Naira while Kaduna North went up with Two Hundred Thousand Naira.
The Football event was the continuation of the Presidential Sports Fiesta that started with an U19 Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament.

From Streets to Stardom: Unique Futbol Academy Scouting Program Inspires Ibadan’s Young Footballers
Ibadan is buzzing with excitement as the Unique Football Academy Scouting Program kicks off, bringing together top European football clubs and talented young Nigerian players.
The four-day program, which commenced on Monday, features a delegation of four directors from prominent European teams, including two from Kosovo and one from India, led by renowned football agent Diego Martins from Portugal.
The scouting program aims to identify and select outstanding players who will be given opportunities to showcase their skills in Europe.
Successful players will be offered the chance to take their careers to the next level, with the organizers assuring them of opportunities abroad.
According to the Director of the program and founder of Unique Football Academy, Mr. Jelil Oladimeji, this is not the first time the academy has organized such an event.
“This is the 4th edition, and we are proud of the progress and impact we have made so far in terms of exposing our raw talent to the European market,” he said.
The program has already proven successful, with several players from previous editions going on to excel in European leagues. Some notable examples include Haruna Saleh with PAOK in Greece and Praisegod Emersons in Slovakia.
As the program continues, clubs are gearing up to exhibit their talents, and the future looks bright for Nigeria’s young football stars.
