FIFA Women World Cup: NFF President Charges Super Falcons to go for Victory against Ireland

The President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has charged the Nigeria’s Super Falcons to go for victory against Republic of Ireland, when the two team met at the ongoing 2023 Women world Cup in Australia, to keep Africa’s hope alive.
Gusau applauded the Nigeria’s Super Falcons who recorded 3-2 victory against one of the host country Australia on Thursday.
Speaking in Abuja, shortly after the victory, the elated President huge praises on the resilient spirit of the Nigerian girls, who came from a goal down to record a deserved victory.
According to him, we thank God for the very important victory, beating the host country in this kind of tournament is not an easy task, the stadium covers over 70,000 people and our girls indeed showed the Nigerian spirit to get the victory.
“We are now looking forward for our last match against the Ireland, we are not going to take the game for granted, that is why I call on them to continue doing their best while we continue supporting them.
“I also called on all Nigerians to pray for them to keep the hope of Africa alive, because Nigeria is Africa for now, and we will do our best to ensure they progress in the competition.”
However, the Super Falcons are up against the eliminated Republic of Ireland, on Monday, while the co-hosts take on Canada.
A draw will be enough for the Falcons to make progress, no matter the outcome of the other match.

CSO Salutes Trump
A Civil Society Organization (CSO) under the aegis of Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC) has congratulated President Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America.
Chief Ugochukwu Nnam, President of the CSO said this in an interview with the Newsmen in Abuja on Monday.
He expressed optimism over improvement on not just American economy but global economy with the inauguration of Trump.
“This is a man with greater vision of making environment around him great.
“In less than few hours of his inauguration, TikTok is back into existence, this shows how he is going to revive the world economy,” he said.
The ILDC boss who reiterated his confidence in Trump’s Presidency, described him as a man of clues and ideas to drive a stable America and the world at large.
He lauded Trump’s collaboration with global entrepreneurs like Elon Musk in an effort to revitalize America’s economy.
According to him, men and women of ideas flock together, they work together for better society and this is what Trump is doing.
Recall that Donald Trump became the 47th President of the U.S by polling 312 electoral votes Vice President Kamala Harris’ 226 votes in Nov, 2024.
Following the oath of office, Trump will address the nation before he is expected to parade across town to the White House and attend three inaugural balls in the evening
About 200,000 supporters are expected to visit the city to mark the presidential transfer of power.
