Sunday Dare Celebrates Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu at 63

The immediate past Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Chief Sunday Dare CON, FNIS has described the wife of the President and First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Senator Oluremi Tinubu as a woman with a heart of service and compassion to lift others up. She has been a pillar of support to both her husband and the country.

Chief Dare stated this in a statement, congratulating the First Lady, who clocked 63 years, today.

Part of Chief Dare’s message reads, “I use this occasion of your birthday, today to celebrate and congratulate you, as a woman of virtue, and an outstanding pillar of support, not only to your husband, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but also to the Nigerian Democratic Project, and the women folk in our nation. Mr. Dare described the Renewed Hope Initiative, RNI, of the First Lady as a beacon of hope to millions of Nigerians who need support at this time.

The former Minister, who holds the revered title, the  Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland concluded his goodwill message by praying to God to give Senator Oluremi Tinubu many more years, in good health, as well as the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding she needs in her supportive role, as First Lady.

“Once again, Congratulations to you, I join millions of Nigerians at home and in the diaspora in celebrating you, on this auspicious day”; Chief Dare concluded.

NEDC Disowns Circulating MSc Education Support Fund Application

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has warned the public against a fake and unauthorised message circulating on social media about an alleged Education Support Fund for Master’s degree (MSc) students.


The Commission, in a disclaimer signed by its management on Friday, described the purported programme, including its stated requirements and the alleged submission point at the NEDC office in Polo, Maiduguri, as false and unauthorised.


According to the Commission, it is not currently receiving applications for any MSc Education Support Fund as contained in the circulating message.


NEDC therefore urged prospective applicants and other members of the public to disregard the information and avoid submitting personal documents to individuals or locations claiming to be acting on behalf of the Commission.

It specifically cautioned the public against releasing sensitive documents such as National Identification Number (NIN) slips, admission letters, identity cards and indigene certificates in connection with the purported programme.

The Commission further warned the public to remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes and the unauthorised use of NEDC’s name and identity to deceive unsuspecting applicants.

It advised members of the public seeking information on its programmes, interventions and opportunities to rely only on official NEDC communication channels and verified announcements issued by the Commission
