Inyama, Bosso Lead Others To ECN Global U17 Final In Gwagwalada
Former Chairman of Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia Pastor Emeka Inyama will be the Special Guest of Honour at the final of the 2023 edition of the ECN/Coaches U17 Tournament holding in Gwagwalada Abuja.
Confirming this, the Executive Director of ECN Global Ventures Limited, sponsors of the holiday program, Patrick Ngwaogu said the tournament which is organized by the Gwagwalada Football Coaches Council is aimed at keeping the youths of the area engaged all through the long vacation holidays.
He said the President of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Dr. Isah Ladan Bosso will be Guest of Honor.
Bosso who is the National U20 Head Coach. “We are expecting the FCT FA Chairman Alhaji Mohammed Mouthar to lead members of his FA, which will include Secretary Haruna Ilerika, and Samuel Abimbola among others to the tournament final.
Also expected are FCT Coaches Chairman Bartholomew David, Former Chairman, Godwin Bamigboye, and Former Flamingos Coach Bala Nikyu among other dignitaries “.
Ngwaogu said that the final match will be between the Sensational Stars Academy and Bocknor Academy.
Trophies and prizes will be given out to eventual winners.

NEDC Disowns Circulating MSc Education Support Fund Application

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has warned the public against a fake and unauthorised message circulating on social media about an alleged Education Support Fund for Master’s degree (MSc) students.
The Commission, in a disclaimer signed by its management on Friday, described the purported programme, including its stated requirements and the alleged submission point at the NEDC office in Polo, Maiduguri, as false and unauthorised.
According to the Commission, it is not currently receiving applications for any MSc Education Support Fund as contained in the circulating message.
NEDC therefore urged prospective applicants and other members of the public to disregard the information and avoid submitting personal documents to individuals or locations claiming to be acting on behalf of the Commission.
It specifically cautioned the public against releasing sensitive documents such as National Identification Number (NIN) slips, admission letters, identity cards and indigene certificates in connection with the purported programme.
The Commission further warned the public to remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes and the unauthorised use of NEDC’s name and identity to deceive unsuspecting applicants.
It advised members of the public seeking information on its programmes, interventions and opportunities to rely only on official NEDC communication channels and verified announcements issued by the Commission
