New Hungarian Ambassador To Nigeria Host Mr. Ndudi Edede In A Closed Door Business and Diplomatic Meeting
It was a huge privilege for Mr. Ndudi Edede as the first Nigerian to officially visit the new Hungarian Ambassador to Nigerian, His Excellency, Mr. Lorand Endreffy @ the Embassy of Hungary in Abuja following an express invitation upon resumption of office.
Key Issues discussed in the closed-door meeting include: Strengthening the existing collaboration with the Embassy vs Dreamland Football Academy in Youth Football Development in Nigeria; Continuous collaboration with the Embassy vs Nigeria Teqball Federation in Sport Development in Nigeria; Unwavering support for the introduction of BeStrong Fitness & Gym Equipment in Nigeria; Deepening the Corporation with the Embassy vs Abia State Government etc.
Mr Edede seized the opportunity to welcome the Ambassador to Nigeria and promised to continue rendering his services to the Embassy in order to help in sustaining the bilateral relationship that exist between Nigeria and Hungary.
On the other hand His Excellency, Ambassador Endreffy promised to give Mr. Edede all necessary support he will need to deliver the various projects that will fast track sustainable development for Nigeria and Hungary respectively. He also expressed happiness and confidence working with Mr. Edede following lot’s of positive reports he received from his predecessor, Hungarian partners etc.
Others present in the meeting were Dr. Garbor Krause, the Deputy Ambassador and Judith Beres, Economic Counselor, Embassy of Hungary in Abuja

LEADERSHIP Newspaper’s Salifu Usman Receives SWAN Fellowship In Recognition Of Sports Development Efforts
Salifu Abubakar Usman, Group Sports Editor of LEADERSHIP Newspaper, has been honoured with the Fellow of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) award, in recognition of his exceptional support for the association, professional journalism, and his significant contributions to sports development in Nigeria.
The esteemed accolade was presented during SWAN’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration, held in Abuja, marking 60 years of excellence in sports journalism across the nation.
Upon receiving the award, Salifu expressed profound gratitude, describing the honour as a source of inspiration and renewed motivation to further his lifelong dedication to sports reporting, promotion, and growth.
“This award gives me hope and motivation to do more. It’s a source of inspiration for me and my family, and I believe it will encourage me further in sports reporting and sports development in Nigeria,” he stated.
Salifu highlighted that this recognition serves as a morale boost following decades of hard work and impactful contributions within Nigeria’s sports community and beyond.
The SWAN Diamond Jubilee Celebration attracted prominent figures from sports administration, the media, and government sectors to celebrate individuals and organisations whose efforts have significantly advanced sports development and journalism in Nigeria.
