NPFL Md4: Lobi Stars FC Management Throws Lafia City Stadium Gates Open As Abia Warriors Visit
In their bid to continue with their fine start to the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League Season, the Management of Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, have thrown the gates of their make-shift home venue, Lafia City Stadium, open to their fans as they take on visiting Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia in the NPFL match-day 4 tie.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, 21st October, 2023, by 4 pm.
Lobi’s first match at their new-found home ground was a deserved 3-2 victory over visiting Sunshine Stars FC of Akure, two Sundays ago.
The Lobi versus Sunshine Stars match was watched by the Benue State House of Assembly’s Speaker, Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajo; Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange; Permanent Secretary, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi; House of Assembly Member representing Makurdi North Constituency, Hon. Alfred Berger; Former Nigerian International cum Super Eagles’ Coach, Augustine Eguavon; Chairman of Nasarawa United FC, Prof. Othman Ibrahim Ahmed; Team Manager, Nasarawa United FC, Solomon Babanjah; Secretary, Benue State FA, Mr. Iorgulum Malu, among others.
The “YES FATHER” Boys are primed to amass their second victory this season against stubborn Abia Warriors FC, following draws against Heartland FC and Katsina United FC respectively, the previous weeks.

From Streets to Stardom: Unique Futbol Academy Scouting Program Inspires Ibadan’s Young Footballers
Ibadan is buzzing with excitement as the Unique Football Academy Scouting Program kicks off, bringing together top European football clubs and talented young Nigerian players.
The four-day program, which commenced on Monday, features a delegation of four directors from prominent European teams, including two from Kosovo and one from India, led by renowned football agent Diego Martins from Portugal.
The scouting program aims to identify and select outstanding players who will be given opportunities to showcase their skills in Europe.
Successful players will be offered the chance to take their careers to the next level, with the organizers assuring them of opportunities abroad.
According to the Director of the program and founder of Unique Football Academy, Mr. Jelil Oladimeji, this is not the first time the academy has organized such an event.
“This is the 4th edition, and we are proud of the progress and impact we have made so far in terms of exposing our raw talent to the European market,” he said.
The program has already proven successful, with several players from previous editions going on to excel in European leagues. Some notable examples include Haruna Saleh with PAOK in Greece and Praisegod Emersons in Slovakia.
As the program continues, clubs are gearing up to exhibit their talents, and the future looks bright for Nigeria’s young football stars.
