Lobi Stars Football Club of Markurdi is optimistic of a favorable result in their match day 4 in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL Campaign against the South East club Abia Warriors and has intensified the preparation to get the result come Saturday.

YES, FATHER (LOBI) BOYS in the current campaign are unbeaten after three games and are set to continue getting results both home and away.

So far, Pride of Benue Lobi Stars played 3 games and drew 2 with one victory is set to continue working hard to get more results

The match is billed for Lafia Township Stadium in Lafia Nassarawa State on Saturday

The pride of Bebue Stars intensified preparations for the encounter on the natural grass pitch of McCarthy Stadium, Makurdi Benue

Lobi Stars has since swung into action with several pieces of training to ensure the pride of Benue boy fit to devour their counterpart Abia Warriors come Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, the Lobi Star media Officer, Emmanuel Ujah expressed; “Our preparation ahead of the Abia Warriors visit this weekend has started today (Tuesday) at McCarthy Stadium, Makurdi.

According to him, “The two training sessions which commenced in the morning is to prepare and keep the lads in good condition before Saturday’s clash at Lafia Township Stadium, Nasarawa State.”

He equally expressed that the technical crew is seriously working hard to ensure they correct any lapses of the previous games and get more results for the upcoming games.

NEDC Disowns Circulating MSc Education Support Fund Application

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has warned the public against a fake and unauthorised message circulating on social media about an alleged Education Support Fund for Master’s degree (MSc) students.


The Commission, in a disclaimer signed by its management on Friday, described the purported programme, including its stated requirements and the alleged submission point at the NEDC office in Polo, Maiduguri, as false and unauthorised.


According to the Commission, it is not currently receiving applications for any MSc Education Support Fund as contained in the circulating message.


NEDC therefore urged prospective applicants and other members of the public to disregard the information and avoid submitting personal documents to individuals or locations claiming to be acting on behalf of the Commission.

It specifically cautioned the public against releasing sensitive documents such as National Identification Number (NIN) slips, admission letters, identity cards and indigene certificates in connection with the purported programme.

The Commission further warned the public to remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes and the unauthorised use of NEDC’s name and identity to deceive unsuspecting applicants.

It advised members of the public seeking information on its programmes, interventions and opportunities to rely only on official NEDC communication channels and verified announcements issued by the Commission
