2023 Sam Oguche/Bullet Energy Drink Basketball Tournament: Plateau Peaks, 313 Warriors, Records Wins On Day 2

The second day of the ongoing Sam Oguche Basketball Tournament in the heart of Abuja witnessed a whole lot of excitement, fun, and joy as the Plateau Peaks, 313 Warrior, recorded victories in their different encounter.
In the first game of the day Plateau United Peak defeated Bull Dogs 83-78.
The first quarter was bumper to bumper as the two teams gave the best but Plateau United won the first quarter 22-21
In the second quarter Plateau, United Peaks extended the lead to 43-37 at the end of the second quarter.
Plateau Peaks continues its domination over Bull Dogs as the third quarter ended 66–57.
Bulldogs fought back but Plateau Peaks stood tall as the game ended 83–78 in favour of Jos Town.
In the other games played 313 Warriors beat Abuja Bats with 80-73.
Warrior came out smoking to records 21-18 in the first quarter. But Abuja Bats came from behind to win the second quarter with 33-42
The third quarter witnessed tit for that as both secure 59–59.
But the determination of the Warriors gave a deserved victory of the day as the game ended 80–73 in favour of 313 Warriors at the end of the fourth quarter.
Also encounter between FCT Hard Rockers and Mark Town Flyers went down in favour of Mark Town Flyers with 78-71
Abuja Hard Rockers recorded 26–12 against Mark Town Flyers in the first quarter at the second quarter Mark Town Flyers reduced the tally as the second quarter finished 38-36
But the Mark Town Flyers changed the narrative in the third quarter with a scintillating performance as they won the third quarter 57-53
Abuja Hard Rockers tried to come back but Mark Town Flyers kept the tempo as the game ended in favour of Mark Town boys with 71–78.
In the fourth game of the day,
The First Quarter went in favour of Gboko City Gate Chief against Defenders with 16–27

From Streets to Stardom: Unique Futbol Academy Scouting Program Inspires Ibadan’s Young Footballers
Ibadan is buzzing with excitement as the Unique Football Academy Scouting Program kicks off, bringing together top European football clubs and talented young Nigerian players.
The four-day program, which commenced on Monday, features a delegation of four directors from prominent European teams, including two from Kosovo and one from India, led by renowned football agent Diego Martins from Portugal.
The scouting program aims to identify and select outstanding players who will be given opportunities to showcase their skills in Europe.
Successful players will be offered the chance to take their careers to the next level, with the organizers assuring them of opportunities abroad.
According to the Director of the program and founder of Unique Football Academy, Mr. Jelil Oladimeji, this is not the first time the academy has organized such an event.
“This is the 4th edition, and we are proud of the progress and impact we have made so far in terms of exposing our raw talent to the European market,” he said.
The program has already proven successful, with several players from previous editions going on to excel in European leagues. Some notable examples include Haruna Saleh with PAOK in Greece and Praisegod Emersons in Slovakia.
As the program continues, clubs are gearing up to exhibit their talents, and the future looks bright for Nigeria’s young football stars.
