Army Promises More Support For NYSC, DG Lauds Gesture

The Nigerian Army has recommited itself itself towards the provision of adequate security for Corps Members and NYSC Officials.
The Brigade Commander, 17 Brigade Nigerian Army, Katsina, Brigadier General OF Fadairo stated this today when the Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General YD Ahmed paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
The Commander who lauded NYSC for its efforts in uniting the country through its programmes and posting policy appealed for more stakeholders’ support for the Scheme.
General Fadairo also commended the NYSC Director General for his giant strides of transformation since he assumed duty in NYSC.
“We will continue to partner to ensure that the Scheme does not suffer. We must make the NYSC more stronger in all ramifications”, the Commander said.
Earlier, the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed appreciated the officers and men of the Brigade for their support for the NYSC Secretariat in Katsina State, especially in terms of maximum security for Corps Members and officials.

In a statement issued on Thursday by Ogwa Vivian Onyedibia, Senior Assistant on Media to the AUDA-NEPAD CEO, Hon. Abdullahi urged Nigerians to embrace the core values of sacrifice, unity, and compassion that define the season.
He emphasized that these principles are essential not only to the spiritual significance of the celebration but also to national development and peaceful coexistence.
“Eid is a time for reflection, sacrifice, and togetherness. As we celebrate, let us renew our commitment to building a more united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
Hon. Abdullahi expressed hope that the celebration would inspire a collective spirit among Nigerians and strengthen the bonds of love, empathy, and patriotism across communities.
He wished all Muslim faithful a joyous and fulfilling celebration, praying for continued peace and blessings upon the nation.
