FIBA Africa Zone 3 Women Qualifiers: Nigeria Customs Beat ASPAC Of Benin Republic 65-48

The Nigeria Customs Service NCS Female Basketball Team, on Monday, edged their counterpart ASPAC from Benin Republic 65-48 at the ongoing FIBA Africa Zone 3 Qualifier in Abuja Nigeria’s Capital city.
At the magnificent MO Basketball Arena in Zone 5, Federal Capital City of Nigeria Customs ladies display dominance to the delight of the home crowd.
With this result, the Nigeria Customs team is now in a firm position to be in Cairo Egypt come December 8 to 17 to compete in the final round qualifications at the FIBA Africa Women’s Basketball League.
Customs Ladies won the first quarter 24-14, also, the second quarter went in favour of Adeniyi’s Girls 31-23.
The Customs team continued their streak in the third quarter with 52-31 before they went on to win 65-48 in the last quarter of the game.
However, the NCS team will on Tomorrow’s play their second Game as they face Olukoya Girls, the basketball team of Mountain of Fire Ministry.
Currently, ASPAC of the Benin Republic team after two matches won one and lost one.
It will be recalled that three Female clubs, comprising the hosts Nigeria Customs Service team, MFM Basketball, and ASPAC of Benin Republic, are poised for intense competition, all vying for the coveted two slots allocated for advancement.
However, after tomorrow’s game two qualified teams from the tournament in Abuja Nigeria will advance to Cairo, Egypt, to compete in the final round of qualifications slated for next week.
