A faceless Group been sponsored to Attack Delta Sports Commission
It is inconceivable that a shadowy group, that goes by the name, Concerned Sports Lovers in Delta State could go the extra mile to rubbish the monumental achievements of the board of Delta Sports Commission.
We are still in shock that the faceless group has taken it upon itself to sit in judgement against a board which exploits over 7 years are still resonating round the sporting arena.
If going about engaging in campaign of calumny and character assassination to soil the good name and reputation of the board’s leadership is the way of appreciating the good work of the body, you promoters of this evil agenda should watch it.
But, our consolation is that the government and good people of the state will for ever say a big thank you for the enormous job in raising the bar in sports administration.
Winning three sport festivals in Abuja, Benin City and as host cannot be forgotten by true lovers of sports just as in the National Youth Games where the state under the watch of the commission won all the editions even as host of the last games in Asaba.
Yes, the tenure of the board is lapsing in a couple of months and we understand that there is intense lobbying to succeed Chief Tonobok Okowa as the Executive Chairman of the commission.
Since there is no harm in ambition, we ask for decorum, fair play and respect by those jostling for the position who we are persuaded to believe are behind theses.
