FORMER DG GOVERNORS FORUM, EARL OSARO ONAIWU, CONGRATULATES PDP GOVERNORS FORUM ON SUCCESSFUL MEETING

Abuja, Nigeria – Earl Osaro Onaiwu, former Director-General of the Governors Forum, has congratulated the PDP Governors Forum on their well-attended and successful meeting in Taraba State.
Onaiwu praised the forum for their commitment to unity, development, and good governance, urging them to continue fostering a spirit of collaboration and cooperation.
“The PDP Governors Forum has once again demonstrated its capacity for unity and collective purpose,” Onaiwu said. “I commend the forum for their dedication to the principles of good governance and development. May this meeting mark the beginning of a new era of prosperity and progress for the PDP and Nigeria.”
Onaiwu also reminded the Governors that it is time to give back to the party that brought them to power. “As they bask in the glory of their achievements, they must not forget the vehicle that took them to their destination – the PDP. It is now time for them to help rebuild and strengthen the PDP by their full support, commitment, and loyalty.”
The meeting, which brought together Governors from across the country, was hailed as a major success, with attendees praising the forum’s renewed commitment to working together for the benefit of all Nigerians.
Onaiwu’s congratulatory message comes as the PDP Governors Forum continues to work towards a united front ahead of future elections.

Cricket: Nigeria To Host ICC U19 Men’s World Cup Qualifier

Nigeria Cricket Federation , NCF, says it is ready to host five other nations for the International Cricket Council ,ICC, Under 19 Men’s World Cup African Qualifier.
The tournament is billed for Lagos, with the matches to be held at the cricket ovals in Tafawa Balewa Square ,TBS, and the University of Lagos ,UniLag, from March 26 to April 6.
Uyi Akpata, President of the Federation, said in a statement on Sunday, that the tournament is about celebrating the growth of the game on the continent.
“Nigeria is thrilled to welcome these talented young cricketers and their supporters to Lagos.
“Our nation is known for its warm hospitality and fascinating cricketing potential, and we are committed to making this qualifier a memorable experience for all.
“This tournament is not just about competition; it’s about celebrating the growth of cricket in Africa and inspiring the next generation of players”, Akpata noted.
However, Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, Tanzania and Sierra Leone will join Nigeria to jostle for the continent’s sole ticket to the 2026 ICC Under 19 Men’s World Cup.
Meanwhile, Nigeria will be hoping to secure the ticket, having achieved same feat in 2019 and competing at the World Cup in South Africa 2020
