IFC Boss Calls for More Inclusive NFF Elective Positions

Barrister Rotimi Alli, Chairman of the Ibadan Football Council, has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Congress to expand elective positions on the Federation’s Board, making it more inclusive and introducing term limits.

Speaking as a guest at the Monthly Ex-Unibadan Football Association, Barrister Alli emphasized the need for reform. “I strongly advocate for expanding the Congress and Executive Board to make it more inclusive. The current NFF structure requires change.”

He criticized the existing structure, stating, “It’s not progressive or productive. We need to encourage more people to participate. We must restructure the system to allow individuals with innovative football ideas to assume leadership roles.”

Barrister Alli also expressed concerns about the democratic nature of the current system. “The way it is, is not democratic. It must be treated democratically, allowing for diverse perspectives and representation.”

He suggested that increasing the number of elective positions and introducing term limits would promote inclusivity, encourage new ideas, and ultimately benefit Nigerian football. By making the NFF more representative and democratic, Barrister Alli hopes to create a more vibrant and successful football ecosystem.
