Youth Minister Urges Civil Servants to Embrace Digital Solutions for Enhanced Youth Engagement and Development Across All MDAs

Federal Ministry of Youth Development. Comrade Ayodele Olawande Urges Civil Servants to Embrace Innovative Digital Solutions for Strengthening Youth Engagement and Fostering Development Across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs)
In his address at the Workshop for Civil Servants on Digital Transformation, organized by UNESCO for Staff of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Comrade Ayodele Olawande emphasized the transformative potential of digital platforms in enhancing the accessibility, reach, and impact of youth and empowerment initiatives.
Comrade Olawande highlighted the necessity of integrating modern technology into youth programs to ensure that the younger generation is not left behind in the digital age. He stated, “In this digital age, we are presented with an incredible array of opportunities to engage, educate, and uplift our younger generation. It is imperative that we evolve and harness these innovative tools to ensure that our youth are not left behind.”
The Minister called on civil servants to prioritize the integration of digital technologies in their initiatives aimed at engaging and empowering the youth. He proposed the establishment of a youth desk in all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), aligning with the President’s advocacy for a proactive approach to the Youth Ministry. He emphasized that civil servants are willing to work when engaged and involved, dispelling the common belief of inactivity.
Additionally, Olawande advocated for the expansion of the “Digital for All” program by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, urging that it be made accessible to all civil servants to empower the workforce and enhance the efficiency of public service.
The Minister also lauded UNESCO for its outstanding initiative in empowering civil servants through the integration of digital technology and governance in the public sector. He noted that this progressive approach is poised to transform public service operations, improving efficiency and encouraging greater engagement with citizens.
While soliciting Collaboration with the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Comrade Olawande stated, “Together, we can harness the power of technology to create a brighter future for the youth of today and tomorrow.

President Tinubu Approves the Completion of the Dualization of the Oyo-Ogbomoso road- Sunday Dare Reveals

President Tinubu has approved the completion of the dualization of the Oyo-Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State, Monday 3rd March 2025.
The approval was revealed by the Special Adviser to President (Media and Public Communications), Chief Sunday Dare CON FNIS, in a release he made available on his X account, after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday afternoon.
The newly approved road completion project, which will now be handled by Mssrs JRB Construction Co. Ltd, has a total cost of N147, 887,810,833,.87.
Recall that some weeks ago, the contract of the road project was terminated, as a result of abandonment and long term lagging; to which the President promised to re-award soon, this has now been fulfilled.
The Presidential Spokesperson stated in part that, “President Tinubu is fully aware of the importance of the entire road, especially the uncompleted Ibadan-Ilorin section is committed to easing the pains experienced by haulage trailers, moving goods and agricultural products from the North to Lagos”; so also, the pains of other road users, especially students
