Broadcast Journalist and award winning media professional, Diana Mary Nsan , PhD has been nominated as Yala Achievers Awards Media Personality of the year. Diana Mary’s nomination as Media Personality of the Year is a testament to her outstanding contributions to the media industry.
As a renowned broadcaster, media manager, communications consultant, and speech trainer, Daina Mary has made a lasting impact. Her expertise and experience have earned her numerous awards and recognition.
DIANA MARY hails from Yala Nkum in Ikom LGA of CRS. She is a vivacious, distinct, award winning media professional who is a valuable asset in her work and academic affiliations. She is result oriented, purpose driven and focused on delivering excellence in all her endeavours and art.
As an emblazoned broadcast journalist who started her career at the Cross River State Broadcasting Corporation while an undergraduate student in the Department of Modern Languages and Translation Studies (UNICAL), she has produced and presented various programmes on television and radio. Diana Mary is always on the path of learning and growing.
She underwent Media Skills Acquisition/Attachment with the BBC World Service Trust, Africa Adaptation Programme and International Center for Journalist Media Capacity Development, amongst others.
In 2012 , she was recognized and awarded by the Lagos State Government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for her outstanding performance in environmental journalism while covering major bits on UN REDD programme in Cross River State.
She once made the lists of Vanguard’s Top On Air Personalities (OAP). In 2017,Diana-Mary Tiku Nsan was profiled by Profiles and Biographies, Future Leaders:50 Young People to watch, just to highlight a few mentions and awards.
As a Media Practitioner ,her flair has seen her cover News casting, presentation, production and editing, main stream and new media. Her good command of English and French Languages make her an outstanding events compere.
She has served as an official government house compere in Cross River State for two consecutive administrations from 2004-2015, anchoring state, national and international events. Public speaking is her forte.
On the path of advancement, she ventured into academia and lectured French in the School of Languages, Cross River State College of Education, Awi, Akamkpa for twelve years. During the period, she earned her M.A. and PhD.
Diana-Mary has a heart for service to humanity and adding value, she volunteers for several NGOs as a voice for vulnerable children and women. She contested elections to represent Ikom 1 State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly in 2019 under the umbrella of the SDP.
She has served as Special Assistant Media to the 36th Honourable Minister of Sports and Honourable Minister of State for Industry of the Federal Republic of Nigeria until Feburary 2025.
A mother who is passionate about holistic education for children, a sports enthusiast who loves and plays tennis, loves plants and art, Daina Mary’s nomination is due to her dedication, hard work, and passion for the media industry.
