Ramadan Outreach: Sports Committee Chairman Delivers Aid to Constituents
Joel Ajayi
The Chairman of the House Committee on Sports, Kabiru Amadu, has distributed food items to residents of the Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency as part of a Ramadan relief initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable households.
The outreach, conducted during the holy month of Ramadan, targeted widows, elderly citizens, youths, and community leaders across the constituency. Essential staple food supplies were packaged and delivered to beneficiaries to help cushion the impact of current economic challenges.
According to the lawmaker, the initiative reflects his ongoing commitment to the welfare of his constituents and his broader approach to people-centered representation. He described Ramadan as a period marked by compassion, sacrifice, and generosity, noting that public office holders have a responsibility to provide tangible support to their communities, particularly during difficult times.
Hon. Amadu also reiterated his pledge to sustain efforts focused on youth empowerment, sports development, and community-driven programmes designed to improve livelihoods within the constituency.
The Ramadan distribution forms part of his continuing social support interventions aimed at strengthening solidarity and easing hardship among residents.
