The President of the Togolese Handball Federation, Yawovi Dogbo, has commended International Handball Federation (IHF)-licensed agent Aminu Ibraheem for his efforts in educating clubs on player transfer procedures.

Dogbo gave the commendation following a successful one-week sensitisation programme for club presidents and secretaries-general in Togo on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Dogbo, who also serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB), said Ibraheem provided detailed explanations of the procedures and requirements involved in player transfers.

“He made a good impression on me, both as a former handball international and as someone who has been involved in the player transfer business for a while now,” Dogbo said.

The CAHB official also praised the initiative, noting that proper understanding of transfer regulations would help clubs and players navigate the international transfer system more effectively.

Reacting, the Nigerian former international expressed gratitude to the Togolese Handball Federation for the opportunity to sensitise clubs in the country.

Ibraheem emphasised the abundance of handball talent across Africa, saying agents from the continent can play a key role in identifying and promoting players to international clubs.

“Talents abound in Africa, and agents from the region can help sell our players internationally. This will, in turn, contribute to the growth and development of our local leagues,” he said.

According to the Commission, it is not currently receiving applications for any MSc Education Support Fund as contained in the circulating message.

NEDC therefore urged prospective applicants and other members of the public to disregard the information and avoid submitting personal documents to individuals or locations claiming to be acting on behalf of the Commission.

It specifically cautioned the public against releasing sensitive documents such as National Identification Number (NIN) slips, admission letters, identity cards and indigene certificates in connection with the purported programme.

The Commission further warned the public to remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes and the unauthorised use of NEDC’s name and identity to deceive unsuspecting applicants.

It advised members of the public seeking information on its programmes, interventions and opportunities to rely only on official NEDC communication channels and verified announcements issued by the Commission
