29 Young Nigerians Graduates From K-Pop Academy In Abuja

No viewer than 29 Young Nigerian males and females have been graduated from the 2019 K-POP dance academy after six weeks of intensifies training and successful completion of their course.
The event comprises of 9 Beginners and 20 intermediate as two K-Pop experts K-Pop instructors Park Young Hyun (T. Dragon) and Kung Hi Won (T. Eli) from Korea were on ground to train participants on different K-Pop-dance skills.
K-POP Academy initiative is another landmark programs introduced by the Korean Cultural Center Nigeria KCCN to impact positively to the life of many young Nigerians.
During the graduation ceremony in Abuja, Director of KCCN Lin Jin Su, who was represented by center’s Korean language teacher and programmes Manager, Meeyoun Jee, revealed that the academy had inculcated into the graduates K-Pop dancing skills which would help them compete on the world stage during K-pop Dance Competition.
He praised the young Nigerians for their commitment and dedication to learning the dance and called on other youths to enroll in the next academic year.
Jin Su, added that the Centre will continue to sponsor programs that will sharpen the creativity of the Nigerian youth.
In his remarks, delighted K-POP instructors, Kung Hi Won (T Eli expressed satisfaction with the performance of young Nigerians at the Academy.
While expressing his love for Nigerian music and culture, Won confirmed that there were a lot of similarities in the cultures of the two countries.
Talking about the importance of K-POP academy, he revealed that, the training will no doubt assist Nigerian to compete with their counterpart in the world.

FCT Outplays Edo to Grab Handball Bronze at Gateway Games

Team FCT bounced back from their narrow semi-final defeat to hosts Ogun State with an emphatic victory over Team Edo to secure the bronze medal in handball at the 2024 Gateway Games.
In the third-place match played on Tuesday at the Alake Sports Complex in Abeokuta, Ogun State, the resilient FCT side dominated proceedings and overpowered their Edo counterparts with a convincing 30–17 win.
Displaying determination and teamwork, Team FCT shook off the disappointment of missing out on the final and ended the tournament on a high, earning praise from spectators and officials alike for their spirited performance.
Speaking after the victory, FCT Handball Coach Ayo Joshua attributed the success to the team’s resilience and strong desire to win a medal.
“We planned for gold but, unfortunately, we couldn’t achieve that. However, we are happy that we didn’t leave Ogun State empty-handed—we were able to secure the bronze medal,” he said.
“We have the best team, skillful players who follow instructions, and by the grace of God, come the next festival in Enugu, FCT Handball will come out even stronger.”
