Abuja agog, as 150 Golfers storm IBB Golf Course for 2nd edition of eTranzact Golf tournament

There is a lot of excitement, as over 150 golfers  in the continent  of Africa set to  stormed IBB international golf country come Wednesday to square it out fierce battle at the second edition of the etranzact golf classic tourney.


The eTranzact Golf Classic, a three-day will see over 100  professional and amateur golfers to rumble at Prestigious IBB golf club as from May 15 to 17 at the IBB International Golf country club.


Among the country expecting at this year event are Cameroon, Ghana,Togo Ivory Coastnd as well as their counterparts from Nigeria will slugging it out in epic clash.


Speaking in a press briefing ahead of the Championship on Friday, in Abuja the Managing Director, of eTranzact, international Niyi Toluwalope, said the sponsor is committed to promoting any sports event that will impact the life of every Nigeria and  continent at Large.
“When we partnered with the PGD Tours last year, we promised that the Classic will provide a platform to promote and elevate professional and amateur golfing in Africa, while fostering business to business collaborations, and facilitating partnerships between business and government,” Toluwalope said.


“This year, we are re-affirming our commitment to this noble sporting event, and all that it has to offer. We have taken our support a notch higher by introducing some exciting changes around the event. The increased prize money is also a further demonstration of our commitment to make the Classic more competitive and attract the absolute best of golfers to perform at this stage,” he said.


“We are also excited to be bringing the competition to the beautiful, serene, and hilly environment of the prestigious golf course, the IBB course,” he also said.


According to Toluwalope,  eTranzact involvement in sports is a demonstration of the organisation’s resolve to keep supporting and providing innovative solutions and platforms to help businesses to succeed in the marketplace.

Meanwhile, players from Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Togo, Senegal and Nigeria are expected to feature at the four-day event which holds on May 15 to 18.

NTF President Extends Christmas Felicitations to Nigerians at Home and Abroad

The President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, has extended warm Christmas felicitations to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, as well as members of the sporting community across the country.

In his Christmas message, Ochei described the season as a time that reflects the enduring values of love, peace, sacrifice, and hope, urging Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion, and service to one another. 


He noted that despite prevailing challenges, the spirit of Christmas offers renewed assurance of a brighter future built on collective faith and purpose.


The NTF President also highlighted the role of sports, particularly tennis, in promoting discipline, teamwork, and national unity, commending the resilience and dedication of athletes, coaches, administrators, and stakeholders who continue to project Nigeria positively on the global stage.


He encouraged Nigerians to use the festive season to reach out to the less privileged, promote peace within their communities, and sustain hope for a stronger and more prosperous nation.


Rt. Hon. Ochei wished Nigerians a joyful Christmas celebration and prayed that the New Year would usher in renewed strength, success, and greater opportunities for all.
