APC Registration: Akobundu Revalidates Membership In Homeland

As part of commitment to party ideologies and growth,  Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu joins the list of prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that revalidate their membership in the ongoing registration/revalidation exercise in the country.

Akobundu, National Coordinator/ Chief Executive Officer, African  Union Development Agency- New Partnership for Africa’s Development/African Peer Review Mechanism (AUDA-NEPAD/APRM), Nigeria performed the party rite in Umuoparaoma, boot  004, Ibeme ward, Isiala Mbano LGA, Imo state, amid cheers by party members and well-wishers on Saturday.

In a chat with the media after her revalidation, the NC/CEO said the exercise was another opportunity for party members and people interested in societal development to register and revalidate appropriately on the platform of the party.

“Irrespective of our training or background, we all have a role to play in the development of our society and the nation as a whole, therefore, APC welcomes men and women young and old to join the ruling party for better governance.

” Through the party platform, you can ensure that right candidates emerge for position or you may be chosen to serve your people and your nation through election or by appointment.

“APC is a political family that is poised to raise the bar of governance and development in the country, ” she said.

Due to her impressive stewardship at the Agency, Akobundu used the opportunity to call on ‘Imolites’  to support and join the party for the development of the state and the nation.

“Since APC came to power in the state and the nation at large, the significant achievements are numerous to mention, I commend President Muhammadu Buhari for leading from the front.

“I therefore call on the people of Imo to go to their different ward to register and give the party a the resounding victory in any state or national election,” she said.

Founding members of APC and intending members had been taking part in the exercise in 120,000 polling units across the country.

Infrastructural development will take center stage, with new facilities such as indoor sports halls, conference centers, and improved road networks reshaping urban landscapes while strengthening the nation’s capacity to host future international events.


Economic growth is another significant dividend. Over 10,000 jobs are expected to be created, spanning construction, facility management, event planning, and tourism services.

The hospitality industry will undergo major improvements as hotels and resorts are upgraded to meet international standards, while local restaurants, lounges, and tourist attractions will see a surge in patronage from international visitors. Small and medium enterprises, particularly in the transport, finance, and food service sectors, will become some of the greatest beneficiaries, as the Games generate new demand and expand opportunities for local businesses.
The Commonwealth Games will also accelerate the growth of Nigeria’s sports industry.
