The Arewa Youth Parliament (AYP) proudly commends Hon. Bashar Buhari, Special Assistant to the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, for his exemplary dedication to public service and youth development across Kebbi, Zamfara, and Sokoto States.
Speaking on behalf of the Parliament, Comrade Hassan Umar Ladan, Speaker of the AYP, lauded Hon. Buhari’s far-reaching initiatives that have significantly improved the lives of young people and underserved communities in Northern Nigeria.
Hon. Buhari’s commitment to building a brighter future is evident through a series of impactful programs, including:
Skills Acquisition and Youth Development: Offering vocational training to equip youth with practical skills for self-sufficiency.
Community Support During Festivities:
Organizing food and goods distribution during Ramadan and Sallah to assist vulnerable families.
Educational Advancement: Sponsoring JAMB registration for thousands of underprivileged students, increasing access to tertiary education.
Support for Constituents and Party Loyalists:
Distributing vehicles and motorcycles to enhance mobility and economic participation.
Healthcare Access: Leading medical outreach programs to improve community health outcomes.
Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities: Providing over 500 tricycles to disabled individuals, fostering independence and dignity.
These initiatives align seamlessly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at reducing youth restiveness and fostering inclusive national development.
The Arewa Youth Parliament calls on young political officeholders to emulate Hon. Buhari’s service-oriented leadership and commitment to meaningful change. By placing youth empowerment and public welfare at the forefront, we can collectively build a more hopeful and prosperous Nigeria.
AYP also extends sincere appreciation to the Honourable Minister of Budget and National Planning, Sen. Atiku Bagudu, for appointing Hon. Buhari. His leadership has brought tangible benefits to the people of Kebbi, Zamfara, and Sokoto States, serving as a testament to the power of purposeful governance.
