Beach soccer: Kada BSC humbles Kebbi Fishers 6-4 look set to become New Champions

..  as SmartCity BSC trounced Badagry 5-1 in 2nd round

Kada BSC this evening defeated Kebbi BSC (Kebbi Fishers) by 6-4 in the second day of the on going Nigeria Beach Soccer League Super 4 Finals in Kebbi state.

The encounter which was a repeat of last year final clash between both sides started on a cagey affair as Kebbi Fishers got into the lead but Kada BSC came back to level scores at 1-1 to end the first period.

The 2nd period continued as it started with both technical crew passing the right tactics to their team as Kebbi Fishers showed superiority netting twice while Kada BSC managed 1 goal to end the second period 3-2 in favour of the host team.

With all to play for in the 3rd period, the Kada BSC bench would have mastered the Kebbi BSC tactics and immediately profound a solution to counter it which worked perfectly as inspirational captain Dozie Frank was instrumental for Kada BSC scoring 3 goals to take their tally to 6 goals while Kebbi BSC managed to score 1 finishing the score line at 6-4.

In the early game of day 2, SmartCity BSC defeated their counterpart from Lagos State, Badagry BSC 5-1 in the Lagos Derby.

Reacting to questions after the game, Coach Isah Kabiru of Kada BSC admonishes the effort of his players for working assiduously hard and playing to instructions in getting the win over Kebbi BSC and he is sure that the trophy is going with them to Kaduna by the end of tomorrow. ” I want to thank the players for the effort they have put in so far, we did our homework and it has paid off. I am now sure of going to Kaduna with the trophy after this win”.

As it stands, Kada BSC looks set to be crowned the new champion only if they beat Smart City BSC  in the first game tomorrow after before Kebbi BSC face of with Badagry Warriors BSC for the last game of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League 2022

Lawal Delivers Another Brilliant Performance in Europe

After displaying great form for Istra 1961against Vukovar in the score draw encounter in the elite league few days ago in Croatia, Salim Fago Lawal has continued to enjoy rave of the moment status in the Eastern European nation.

On Wednesday, Lawal was on the scores sheet for Istra in the 75th minute against Kurilovec, but it was only for consolation, as Istra crashed out of Croatian cup in round 16.

It was a masterpiece display from the former Flying Eagles striker, whose work rate has shown great development after joining Istra from modest Nigerian clubside in 2023.

He has scored three goals and two assists, totally five – goal contribution as a striker so far this season.

Interestingly, two other Flying Eagles players, Israel Ayuma and Charles Agada, who are also former players of Mavlon FC, featured in the game and they gave good account of themselves.

Sadly, it was not the day of victory on the pitch for the three former players of Mavlon FC of Lagos.
