Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Akin Dare has thrown his weight behind the youth running for different offices at the All Progressives Congress (APC) convention which is set to hold on March 26th, 2022.

Minister Sunday Dare in a statement released to journalists today, stated the importance of promoting the Youth constituency in the Party’s arrangement and micro zoning decisions in the different geo political zones.

“This is time for The APC to show support to the young people who have stood by the party. I am proud of their activities and input in the affairs of the party. PDP Chieftain Calls for Removal of Dr. Emma Agbo as DG of PDP Governors’ Forum

Benue State, Nigeria – Mr. Sam Obeya, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Benue State, has called for the immediate removal of Dr. Emma Agbo as the Director-General of the PDP Governors’ Forum.

This call comes on the heels of the aborted Congress in Benue State, which was marred by litigation and controversy. Mr. Obeya alleges that Dr. Agbo played a significant role in the botched Congress and demands his removal to ensure the party’s unity and progress.

“The actions of Dr. Agbo have caused irreparable damage to our party in Benue State,” Mr. Obeya stated. “His removal is necessary to prevent further divisions and ensure that our party remains strong and united.”

Mr. Obeya expressed concern that Dr. Agbo may become a tool to serve the personal interests of Governor Bala Mohammed, just like his predecessor, Hon. Cid Madugbuna, who was seen as a stooge of former Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.

“The PDP cannot afford to have a Director General who serves only the interests of one governor,” Obeya said. “We need leadership that prioritizes the unity and progress of the party above personal interests.”

Obeya called on party leaders to take action to ensure that the PDP Governors’ Forum remains independent and serves the interests of the party as a whole, rather than being used to promote personal agendas.
