Dare, Amaechi, Saidya Top Buhari’s Best Performing Ministers

Ministers include; minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Farouq; Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi and Minister of Youth and Sports and Development Mr Sunday Dare in President Muhammadu Buhari cabinet have been listed as best performers.

 

Minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Farouq, has been ranked best-performing minister in the first year of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term.

 

In an interim scorecard released by Transparency Watch, the minister’s counterparts in the ministries of transportation and youths, sports and development, Rotimi Amaechi and Sunday Dare came second and third respectively.

 

The report signed by the organisation’s president, Maxwell Gowon, on Sunday, August 23, said the ministers were graded based on organizational strength, the performance of the agencies under the purview, the impact on the lives of the people as well as transparency and accountability.

In the assessment of organizational strength, of all the ministries reviewed, the report said Farouq scored first with a score of nine out of 10 points. The minister scored nine out of 10 on organisational strength.

 

According to the report, the minister’s score is due to the ministry’s effective organization of the various interventions programs of President Buhari’-led administration.

The report highlighted that some of the interventions were carried out through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the national N-power initiative, National Home Grown School Feeding Programme, and the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme.

 

An assessment of the federal ministry of transport shows that Rotimi Amaechi had a score of seven out of 10. Amaechi, the report said was graded on the ministry’s efforts in sustaining the rail constructions across Nigeria.

 

For the minister of youth and sports development, Sunday Dare, the ministry’s implementation of youth-oriented programmes across the country, especially at the grassroots level was rated successful.

CSO Salutes Trump

A Civil Society Organization (CSO) under the aegis of Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC) has congratulated President Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America.

Chief Ugochukwu Nnam, President of the CSO said this in an interview with the Newsmen in Abuja on Monday.

He expressed optimism over improvement on not just American economy but global economy with the inauguration of Trump.

“This is a man with greater vision of making environment around him great.

“In less than few hours of his inauguration, TikTok is back into existence, this shows how he is going to revive the world economy,” he said.

The ILDC boss who reiterated his confidence in Trump’s Presidency, described him as a man of clues and ideas to drive a stable America and the world at large.

He lauded Trump’s collaboration with global entrepreneurs like Elon Musk in an effort to revitalize America’s economy.

According to him, men and women of ideas flock together, they work together for better society and this is what Trump is doing.

Recall that Donald Trump became the 47th President of the U.S by polling 312 electoral votes Vice President Kamala Harris’ 226 votes in Nov, 2024.

Following the oath of office, Trump will address the nation before he is expected to parade across town to the White House and attend three inaugural balls in the evening

About 200,000 supporters are expected to visit the city to mark the presidential transfer of power.
