Dare Donates Vehicle, Desktop, Laptop Computers to the Situation Room of APC PCC Contact and Mobilisation Directorate, Southwest

The operations of the Contact and Mobilisation Directorate of the
South-West Zonal Office of the All Progressive Council (APC) Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC) have received a big and timely boost with donations, of some office equipment, on Saturday, 4th of February, 2023.

The Deputy Director, Stakeholders Relations of the
All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Chief Sunday Dare donated the items, which includes a Desktop Computer and one Laptop Computer.

The computers were handed over to the office, along with a vehicle, posters and fliers, at the situation room of the South-West Zone
PCC Contact and Mobilisation office, situated at No 44 Oke-Bola, Adjacent Ogunpa Market Junction Ibadan, Oyo State.

In his brief remarks on the occasion, the Honourable Minister of Sports and Development said, “as we approach the period of elections, there are needs to fortify the contact and mobilisation directorate, for effective mobilisation, sensitisation and canvassing of the electorates, as all strategies must be put in place to ensure victory for Tinubu/Shettima in the upcoming Presidential elections”.

Consequently, “we are here to give all these to help in the effective realization of our goals, without much hazels. I thank everyone present here, today”.

Receiving the items, the Director PCC Contact and Mobilisation South-West Zone, Alhaji Mutiu Aré, appreciated Chief Sunday Dare, for the huge donations, which he admitted, would make easier, the work of the Contact and Mobilisation Directorate, and for being consistent in his efforts towards making things work out for Asiwaju Tinubu and the APC at large.

The Chairman Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande also lauded Chief Sunday Dare, for his kind gesture, and promised to also contribute his quota as well.

Present at the event, were stakeholders, including the Director PCC Contact and Mobilisation Directorate South-West Zone, Alhaji Mutiu Aré; Assistant Director Contact and Mobilisation South-West Zone Alhaji Dayo Iyaniwura; Assistant Secretary Contact and Mobilisation South-West Zone Alhaji Waheed Akanbi; as well as members of Contact and Mobilisation Directorate South-West Zone Chief Ademola Olawale (Agba Demo), Hon.Toyosi Kolade, Hon. Adedayo Adeyemi.

Also in attendance were Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, DG Citizenship and Leadership Training Center (CLTC); Chief Soji Eniade, Assistant Director Support Groups Coordination South-West Zone Oloye Titilope Gbadamosi; and other party fateful from across Oyo State.

Reps Appoint Prof. Ihonvbere Chairman, Ad-Hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight

The Leader of the House of Representatives, Professor Julius Omozuanvbo Ihonvbere, has been appointed Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee tasked with overseeing the implementation of emergency rule in Rivers State.


The 21-member Committee was inaugurated on Tuesday, April 15, by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas. This follows the National Assembly’s resolution endorsing, with amendments, the Proclamation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declaring a state of emergency in Rivers State.


During the deliberations leading to the approval of the President’s declaration, the House resolved, among other measures, that the National Assembly should assume legislative functions of the Rivers State House of Assembly, in accordance with Section 11(4) of the 1999 Constitution.


Hon. Ali Isa J.C., Minority Whip, will serve as Deputy Chairman of the Committee.

Other members include Deputy Majority Whip, Hon. Isiaka Ibrahim; former Deputy Speaker, Hon. Idris Ahmed Wase; Hon. Aliyu Muktar Betara; and Hon. Sada Soli.


Additional members of the Committee are:Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Hon. Igariwey Iduma Enwo, Hon. Shehu Saleh Rijau, Hon. Wole Oke, Hon. Akarachi Etinosa Amadi, Hon. Patrick Umoh, Hon. James Barka, Hon. Alex Egbona, Hon. Isa Anka, Hon. Amos Daniel, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, Hon. Onuh Onyeche Blessing, Hon. Fatima Talba, Hon. Chris Nkwonta, and Hon. Ebibake Marie Enenimiete.


The Committee is mandated to monitor the implementation of federal directives and policies in Rivers State, ensure the caretaker administration operates within the bounds of the law, and safeguard the public interest while working towards the restoration of full democratic governance.


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had earlier appointed Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (Rtd) as Sole Administrator of Rivers State, following the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the Rivers State House of Assembly for an initial period of six months.
