Deputy Speaker, leader with proven character, integrity – Rep. Ezechi

The lawmaker representing Ndokwa East/Ndokwa West/ Ukwuani federal constituency, Delta, Rep. Nnamdi Ezechi, has described the Deputy Speaker, Rep. Benjamin Kalu as a leader with proven character and integrity.

Ezechi stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the occasion of the Deputy Speaker’s 54th birthday in Abuja on Monday.

He saluted the Deputy Speaker’s exceptional leadership attributes, saying that he had demonstrated excellence in all ramifications.

“I, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi, on behalf of the good people of Ndokwa East/Ndokwa West/ Ukwuani federal constituency salute the Deputy Speaker on this special day of his.

“I am not just proud of him but proud to have him as a colleague and Deputy Speaker in the House of Representatives because of his gentility and humility,” he said.

The lawmaker said that he therefore joined the Deputy Speaker’s family, friends, and members of the National Assembly to celebrate an exceptional gentleman.

Ezechi however commended Kalu’s unbridled dedication to the cause of building a united and prosperous Nigeria.

AUDA-NEPAD CEO Highlights Collaboration as Catalyst for Africa’s Economic Competitiveness

The Chief Executive Officer and National Coordinator of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, has called for stronger public-private partnerships to boost Africa’s global competitiveness.

Speaking at the High-Level Business Forum 2025 organised by the NEPAD Business Group Nigeria in Lagos, Hon. Abdullahi said Africa’s transformation will be driven by enterprise, not aid.

He urged governments to create enabling environments that foster innovation, industrial growth, and sustainable development.

He reaffirmed AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria’s commitment to working with private sector actors and development partners to deliver key initiatives in agriculture, ICT, manufacturing, and renewable energy under the AU Agenda 2063 framework.

The event brought together top business and policy leaders, including representatives from the African Business Roundtable, the Bank of Industry, the Africa Finance Corporation, and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, among others.
