Edo 2024; Umakhihe assures Edolites of good health system, Water, Others

…As campaign train Hits Uromi, Ubiaja Esan South East, North North East
The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Ernest Umakhihe on Thursday appealed to the people of Esan and Igueben communities to give him more work by nominating him for the forthcoming primaries election, and he will make water and teacher salaries his priority.
Umakhihe said this at his campaign train visit to Esan North East (Uromi), Esan South East (Ubiaja), and Igueben (Igueben) senatorial districts.
According to him, my fathers, my mothers, brothers, sisters, and my friends, the message I brought today is that if you agree that I have done well, with this chronicle that I gave you people of my experience.
“And what I have done, then you should reward me. They say the reward of hard work is more work, so give me more work by voting and nominate me as APC gubernatorial candidate.
“I know that the problem in Esan Land is water, and we must find a solution; it’s not rocket science; there is water under the ground; there is no science about why we cannot get water.
“Is just to go down and you will get the water, so it will be a priority to get water in this Edo central.”
The gubernatorial aspirant pledges to revolutionise agriculture and teachers in schools, as well as doctors and nurses in the various clinics in the States.
“And I know we have good soil and land for farms; rice was grown all around, so we will encourage you people to grow rice again in all seasons, not only in the rainy season.
“We will hire tractors that farmers can hire to prepare their land, then do irrigation facilities for farmers; that is how we will tackle agriculture; I will bring agricultural revolution down to this state.
“I know we have school buildings, but teachers are being paid by the community; that will stop. I will recruit teachers, train them, and retrain them so that they can have a positive impact on our own children.
“Paying teachers full salaries will motivate them to impact knowledge on our children. We know that there are clinics but no staff, no doctors, and nurses. Once I get there, I will tackle those things; I will overdo roads and streetlights.“
