FCT Agog As Eight Countries Jottle For ICC World Cup Ticket

…. Players, Coaches Team Managers talk tough ahead of Sunday Opening Game

It’s going to be battled to finish at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium as from today’s when eight countries including the host nation Nigeria will slug it for in the ICC division 2 world cup qualifiers slated for Friday September 30 to October 10.
To this end, coaches, Team Manager and Captains of all participating countries have expressed their readiness for the tournament where three countries will qualify for ICC division 1 tournament.
The participating teams includes Ghana, Rwanda, Mozambique, Malawi, Sierra Leone and kenya have arrived in Nigeria for the event.
They were speaking tough at the Press conference on Thursday in Abuja where 6 out eight countries took part.
On his own Nigeria Team Joseph Oche Onoja said Nigeria is ready to win the trophy it won in 2018: “We are champion in 2018, we are here to do it again. Our goal is to qualify for division one, we have a very young team.
While speaking the Rwanda Coach Martin Suja Armon said his expectations is for his boy to play games that everything Rwandans will be proud of: ” Our expectations we are ready to pay the game that every Rwanda will be proud of.
“We are preparing and prepared well, we had experience with almost all the teams, we done our work, we are not coming here to make up the number but to compete and win.”
On his own, Serria Lone Coach She John Kamara expressed confidently revealed that his team is going to carry the day, we did not fear any teams.”
Also, the like of Bostwana Coach Joseph Angara, Kenya Coach Josphat Irungu, Malawi Coach Arjune Menon as well as all the captains of all country said they are ready soar high in the tournament.

In a warm gesture of unity, oneness, togetherness and goodwill, the Chairman of Air Warriors Basketball Club, Abuja, Alhaji Abddulmajid Solademi, hosted a group of Basketball Journalists on Saturday at his residence in celebration of the Sallah festivities in Abuja.
The gathering that shows the importance of love, peace, and unity values which is crucial not just for the advancement of basketball, but for the overall progress of the nation.
However, the Sallah is a time to reflect on our shared humanity,” he said. “It’s a moment to support one another and to uphold the values that bring us together, rather than divide us.”
Guests at the event shared stories, enjoyed meals, Asun Rice, Oriental rice, Jollof Rice, Swallow in variety with a lot of drinks that mede them to engaged in meaningful discussions on the development of sports in Nigeria, with a special focus on grassroots basketball.
Many attendees praised Solademi for his unwavering support for the sporting community and his ongoing commitment to using sports as a powerful tool for youth empowerment and social transformation.
