FCT Emerge Champions Of OTE4WEATH National championship

The federal capital Territory football club Pride FC emerged winner of the first edition of the Ote4wealth national football championship after beating their counterpart Golden FC from Abia state 3-1

The tournament was organised by Makanjuola Nureni, CEO MK Sports International to celebrate the 60th birthday of Nigeria business mogul, Femi Otedola.

37 teams from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) participated in the 6 days tournament held in Abuja.

Speaking at the final, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MK Sports, Nureni Makanjuola, said the next edition will be bigger than what was witnessed this year.

According to him, we shall have more teams and increase in prize money in the next edition next year. Many clubs have indicated interest to participate and our doors will be opened to so many teams that meet up with the criteria.

An elated, Pride FC head coach Lawal Abdul, appreciated Mr Nureni who single-handedly bankrolled the tournament.

“It’s a unique tournament. We have been in existence for three years and I have never seen any tournament like this. The six day tournament was well-organized with fair officiating. It all started last Saturday and ended today in my team’s favor. 

“We registered for free, got kits for free, our accumulated funds for yellow cards were forfeited and yet we got the trophy and prize money.”

Meanwhile, as part of way of showing love, the winning team Pride FC extended a hand of fellowship to the runner up Golden FC by sharing the money equally which signifies all teams are winners.

Remain Calm, IBB International Golf Club Tells Members

It was an unusual scenario Saturday morning as the security agencies comprises of Police and DSS stormed the club, asking staff and members to vacate the club house and course.

While reacting to the incident, the release signed by Ibrahim Alhassan Babayo, the Captain of the IBB International Golf and Country Club, Abuja, described the incident as unfortunate and unexpected.

Ibrahim Babayo accused some minority members with vested interest who collaborated with some security men to seal the club in an attempt to disrupt the scheduled Extra-ordinary General Meeting of the Club.

The release urged everyone to remain calm, assured them that all necessary legal steps will be taken to ensure that the process of filing the Board of Trustees, BOT, vacancies is conducted correctly despite the attempts to derail the process.

The Captain said the club will not relent in its efforts to ensure fairness, transparency and due process prevail.

While assuring the members of continued support and trust, the statement asked the staff and members to await further instructions.
