Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board Launches Digital Transformation with Training Workshop

The Management of the Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board, in collaboration with Micro Access ICT Solutions Provider, has organized a training workshop on Digitalization and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for its management staff and others.
In a statement issued on by the Head, Information & PRU Obiechina Ngozi reveals that the 3 day-workshop held in Abuja aimed to equip the Board’s management staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive digital transformation and improve operational efficiency.
The workshop is part of the efforts the Board is making to improve its operations by the digitization of its activities.
The workshop focused on the applications of digital technologies to enhance business processes, improve customer service, and increase productivity. Participants were trained on the latest trends and best practices in ERP.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Executive Secretary, Hajiya Salamatu Ahmed, represented by the Director of Administration, Mrs Monica Igwe, emphasized the importance of digitalization in driving the Board’s mandate to ensure housing loans are granted to federal public servants at a single digit interest rate.
“As we strive to achieve our mandate, we must leverage digital technologies to improve our operations, enhance customer experience, and increase our impact,” she said.
The workshop featured an expert facilitator, Mr. Emeka Nze, from Digital Bridge Institute who shared his expertise and experiences in digital transformation and ERP implementation.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions and hands-on exercises to reinforce their learning.
The training workshop put more emphasis on the Board’s strategic plan to enhance its efficiency and improve its service, especially in pass-tracking the repayments of the loans.
The Board is committed to leveraging technology to achieve its mandate and drive digital transformation.

LEADERSHIP Newspaper’s Salifu Usman Receives SWAN Fellowship In Recognition Of Sports Development Efforts
Salifu Abubakar Usman, Group Sports Editor of LEADERSHIP Newspaper, has been honoured with the Fellow of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) award, in recognition of his exceptional support for the association, professional journalism, and his significant contributions to sports development in Nigeria.
The esteemed accolade was presented during SWAN’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration, held in Abuja, marking 60 years of excellence in sports journalism across the nation.
Upon receiving the award, Salifu expressed profound gratitude, describing the honour as a source of inspiration and renewed motivation to further his lifelong dedication to sports reporting, promotion, and growth.
“This award gives me hope and motivation to do more. It’s a source of inspiration for me and my family, and I believe it will encourage me further in sports reporting and sports development in Nigeria,” he stated.
Salifu highlighted that this recognition serves as a morale boost following decades of hard work and impactful contributions within Nigeria’s sports community and beyond.
The SWAN Diamond Jubilee Celebration attracted prominent figures from sports administration, the media, and government sectors to celebrate individuals and organisations whose efforts have significantly advanced sports development and journalism in Nigeria.
