Former FCT FA Vice Chairman Patrick Ngwaogu Appointed Football Coordinator of Tinubu Support Organisation in FCT
The Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO) has appointed former First FCT Football Association Vice Chairman, Patrick Ngwaogu, popularly known as Odogwu, as the Football Coordinator of the organisation in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The appointment was announced in a message to Ngwaogu, who is also the Executive Director of ECN Global, publishers of Exclusive News Online Newspaper, by the Director of Football for the Tinubu Support Organisation, Bashir Badawiy.
Badawiy stated that the inclusion of the former Sporting Director of Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia into the organisation’s football project was purely on merit, taking into consideration his antecedents and track record in grassroots football development across the country.
Describing the move as strategic, Badawiy explained that the appointment is aimed at harnessing Ngwaogu’s experience, credibility, and grassroots orientation to drive football development and youth engagement within the Federal Capital Territory.
According to him, Odogwu will play key roles in mobilising young football talents in the capital city, supporting the broader objectives of the football initiative under the organisation, and strengthening the structure of the project nationwide.
“The decision to appoint Odogwu is a reflection of our commitment to building a sustainable football development framework that prioritises grassroots talent discovery and youth empowerment,” Badawiy said.
The Director of Football also commended the Director-General of the project, Hon. Aminu Sulaiman, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the growth of the initiative. He praised Sulaiman’s strategic coordination and support, noting that it has laid a solid foundation for the success of the football programme.
Badawiy expressed confidence that with the combined leadership qualities and grassroots orientation of the FCT Coordinator, the Tinubu Support Organisation’s football project would stand the test of time in the FCT and beyond, serving as a platform for youth empowerment, talent discovery, and the promotion of national unity through sports.
